I qualify for cataract surgery but what I want is the lens correction surgery. Insurance takes care of cataract surgery but has anyone had the lens correction surgery for less than $3,500 an eye?

I will be having it done at Mid Florida for 1750 per eye for the lense. Medicare picks up the rest of the cost.

If your goal is to eliminate glasses make sure you have a long conversation with the surgeon. Your eyes tend to change, the lens will not. In my case (cataract surgery) there was no way any available lens would correct for a needed prism or astigmatism, I went with standard lens and stayed with glasses. If you are looking at multifocal, do additional research as there have been reports of Halos and other artifacts from these, as well as reports of very successful results.

Mid Florida did my cataract surgeries a few years back. While I felt their operation was a bit of a "cataract mill", I can't complain about the results.
One eye is 20/20 and the other is 20/25 and my eyes were pretty bad beforehand. I also opted for the less expensive lens and it still worked out fine.
I read a lot and have lightweight reading glasses, but I've had glasses all of my life and I'm fine with that. Good luck.
