I hired no pressure house washing 352-728-2768 to clean some oil spots left by a contractor off of my driveway. They stated that they were able to clean the spots but the spots remained. They of course still billed me even though they failed to perform the task they were hired for. I'll never use them again. No customer service or even acknowledgement that they did not provide the service they were hired for.

Not defending the people you hired but oil on cement is virtually impossible to remove as it soaks into the porous cement. Detergent will thin the oil and remove some but allow the rest to soak in further. Traditional is muriatic acid. It is cheap and works. BEWARE, it is diluted HYDOCLORIC acid. Will like take several applications. As it will take several applications you will probably need to do it yourself. READ on the internet. Have proper equipment, eye protection proper gloves. Wash it into the street.

Excellent points. Pressure washing very seldom removes oil stains.

And too much muriatic acid can result in revealing the aggregate inside the concrete. Or so a friend told me :)

Have my own commerical quality pressure washer and it will not remove certain types of stains such as motor oil in pavers or cement. They should have told you in advance that they can not remove some types of stains.

I had oil stain used every cleaner under the sun. Still there, used gasoline, removed oil spot now I got gasoline spot which makes concrete lighter but oil spot gone.

Did your contractor have to park in your driveway? I will never allow a contractor park their vehicle in my driveway. I've seen what those contractor trucks have left in the streets.

First of all, why didn't you have the contractor clean the spots that they were responsible for? Secondly, why did you just get some degreaser and do it yourself. Don't pay the bill until the fix the problem!

I have used no pressure for both house washing and driveway and have found him to be very good. I had an oil stain on the end of the drive from a garbage bag. Nothing he did or I did before him could remove it. It eventually faded but I do not think anyone could get it out. The driveway looked beautiful after he was finished, so I have no qualm about using his services.

I once used a product called "Pour-N-Restore" oil stain remover from Lowes and it worked pretty well. It is a white liquid that you pour on the stain. In a few hours, the liquid turns to a powder and you just sweep it away. No scrubbing. I don't know how well it would work on an old stain.

Very simple solution to entirely clean an oil spot off of your cement driveway. The day before it rains pour a very small amount of lemon Joy liquid detergent on the spot, after it rains the spot is gone.

I've tried every other kind of cleaner but nothing else works!

I usually buy a couple of cases at a time because like everything else in life, when you go to buy more it has been discontinued and replaced with some cheap crap product.

Use kitty litter. Real cheap. Put on oil spot brush in with foot or broom. Let stand for a day. Sweep up and wash. Been doing this for years back in my car racing years. Tried and proven method.

I used No Pressure House Wash for years and years and always had excellent service and results. And their fee is very reasonable. Many friends use them and are always happy with their work. Sorry you had a bad result, and I’m surprised they didn’t address your concerns!

I found that covering the oil stain with liquid laundry detergent will remove the oil stain. Apply in the morning on a sunny day and the stain will be gone by morning. It works on concrete, I have never tried it on a painted driveway.

I have used “Oil Solv”. Not sure where to buy it now but it took out stains in concrete up north. It is a petroleum solvent. Very strong stuff.

There is never a problem until there is a problem. I am siding with the OP about this issue.

In New Jersey, I had a house washing company tell me they would not be able to get off the tiny black spots that "Shotgun Fungus" left all over the vinyl siding on our home. I said to go ahead and try anyway. The pressure wash did not get those spots off. At least I was informed before he began the job that he knew they would not come off. This is what No Pressure House Cleaners should have done if he knew his method was not going to get out oil stains. And......if he didn't know his method would not get out oil stains, he should not be pressure cleaning houses.

Bad slam on “No Pressure House Washing” we have used them for years great job friendly staff , reasonable price twice a year cleaning ,no high pressure blasting of soffits and siding. Will do driveways and sidewalks to remove black stains from dirt or mold. Oil is almost impossible to remove from concrete or stucco.

I worked for an asphalt company many years ago. The best way that we found to get oil off of concrete was to put clay kitty litter on it. Rub it in with your shoe and watch it disappear.
