Been awhile but do remember that a Canadian friend told us to stay away from these online pharmacies for that reason. My wife has purchased prescription pills in Cozumel where we stopped for a cruise and so far she has survived it.

Have used The Pharmstore for about 5 years. I have two high priced drugs and use them to keep me out of the donut hole.
The drugs are exactly what I would be getting at a local pharmacy. Link below.

I have ordered from the Canadian Pharmacy below with excellent results. It was recommended by a ToTV poster, and is quite a bit less expensive than the local Canadian Pharmacy outlets. Still, you must call first and confirm they have your medication, or a generic, and find out the cost. This company has been very professional and easy to work with.

We use Pharmstore. Easy to use online and good customer service. They were recommended by an insurance agent. They had numerous clients who had used them successfully. Exact same product. Much better price.

I made the mistake a few years back. The online “Canadian “ pharmacy was actually a front for an India operation. The pills and such smelled and tasted moldy, and didn’t seem affective. The endless and relentless phone calls from this group were none stop even tho I informed them I was no longer interested. The calls continued for many years. Please do your research and don’t trust any company just because they call themselves a Canadian pharmacy.

I've had good luck with Northwest Pharmacy. (866) 539-5330. Canadian Pharmacy – Certified Online Pharmacy Canada (https://www.northwestpharmacy.com)
However, Publix Pharmacy is now less expensive than anyone for 2 of my 3 prescription meds.

I am a pharmacy technician and I have had customers come in who have used Canadian pharmacy. He noticed his father was not telling well and declining rapidly. He contacted the company and the pills were not what they were Eliquis. Beware as the fdc is not involved with Canada that's why its so cheep.

I used northwestpharmacy.com for years. I saved a goodly amount of money on brand name drugs that were available through them as generics. The drugs may be manufactured in Canada, the U.S or other sources over seas. My understanding is the U.S. uses some of the same overseas manufacturers. The drugs were trustworthy. My lab tests results demonstrated their efficacy. I do not currently use Northwest because the maintenance drugs I took and continue to take are now available generically in the U.S. and covered very well under my Part D. At the time I ordered they were only available in the U.S. under brand name and were quite expensive.
I would not hesitate to use them again. Not all drugs are available but you should find most are. You can go on line and check their availability and prices. They are probably best used for ordering 90 day supplies. You have to allow some time for delivery. My doctors sent my prescriptions directly to Northwest and I would then order.
As you stated there are many on line pharmacies to choose from and some may not be a good choice. I found Northwest Pharmacy to be trustworthy.

We have a Canadian pharmacy right here in Lady Lake. +1 (352) 633-3301. I have seen their advertisements in the Daily Sun for years. Yesterday I received a quote of $249 for 168 Eliquis pills. Northwest Pharmacy in CA quotes $323.39 for 180 pills. The local pharmacy states there may be a 3-6 week delay for the initial delivery because of customs delays.

They source from the same manufacturers as your local pharmacy.
Most of which are manufactured in India......same product and packaging.

I did a lot of research (reviews, educated myself on the certifications for pharmacies in Canada, etc.) before ordering meds, but we had two drugs that our insurance only covered at a high level so were very costly. I've used Canadian Pharmacy World for years now, and have always gotten the correct pills, in original packaging, and in pristine condition. They are based in Vancouver BC, always call to verify after online order, and on their website they allow you to specify origin of the meds (depending on where they are sourcing that particular medication). For example, my med can come from Pfizer Canada, Pfizer UK, generic India - at differing costs. They list the differences in the source options, and I will admit I have always used the US or Canadian source drugs instead of those sourced in India or Turkey.
One thing to check - my husband has been taking tadafil (generic Cialis) for years for BPH (and now sleeps through the night instead of getting up 3 or 4 times), and we used Canada as a source for years until the generic became available here - it was still too expensive until I found GoodRx, which reduced the cost below what the Canadian pharmacy was selling it for (which was a fraction of what the US pharmacies were selling it for at the time). So I periodically check GoodRx for their pricing at the local Walmart or Publix before I do a Canadian order.

Been using Canadian pharmacy in Belleview for over 10 years. Drugs come from all over the world. 4 to 6 weeks delivery time. For all you people that know everything this from the box of Forxiga I just got.
Manufactured by: AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, Mt. Vernon, Indiana USA
Packed by: AstraZeneca Pharma, Bangalore, India.
Imported by: AstraZeneca Pharma India Limited, Bangalore, India
On my prescription plan these pills are a Tier 3 and would cost me $984 including deductible per year and with my other prescriptions this cost will be higher because of the gap (donut hole).
From Canadian Pharmacy The cost is $820 per year. No gap (donut hole)
Just to try and confuse you more this drug would cost me over $6000 a year with out insurance in the USA which would put me in the gap (donut hole) which is anything over $4350.
I have the best medicare agent in the Villages with over 40 years experience.

I have used this pharmacy for many years for a medication that my insurance will not cover. Their price is about a quarter of what I would have to pay in the US. The company is very easy to work with and customer service responsive.

Hi,
I have used Canadian pharmacy for few years. Most of them are Chinese base businesses with 800 number, which rings in Canada. You would not receive Canadian made medication. That has been my own experience. Few years ago I came across local (within USA) pharmacy which I have been using since then. They are good people, and their prices lower than Canadians Pharmacies.
Give them a call, put your name on their mailing list and if you are happy with them, pass the info to your friends.

Canadian pharmacies are legally restricted to filling only prescriptions from licensed Canadian doctors. I would be very concerned that the website was a scam and you may not get what you ordered and need.

I used "Mark's Marine" in Vancouver for my Advair when I was on Obamacare. It was the only one I could find that was a real pharmacy with a real storefront that you could find on Google Maps. They dealt with me very honestly and had a web site that was easy to navigate, but it's been three years since I needed them, so who knows now.

The 5 years that I have used the Pharmstore out of Canada every year I have to send them a written prescription from my local Villages doctor for the two drugs that I get from them. Before I started using the Pharmstore I asked my local doctor if there is any reason why I should not use the Pharmstore, His reply was that he could not think of any reason not to use them.
I would suggest that you ask you health provider if you are worried about using Canadian drugs.

Canadian drugs were safe, but they aren’t anymore. Imports of drugs into Canada from Brazil, Bangladesh, China, South Africa, and even Saudi Arabia and Iran have all increased dramatically in the past year. Health Canada admits it does not inspect drugs entering the country, and the FDA says it lacks the manpower to ensure the safety of drugs that cross the border from Canada to the U.S. Consequently, Canadian drugs are no longer as safe as drugs manufactured and purchased in the U.S.
It bears emphasizing that drugs imported from Canada may have been safe in the recent past, but are becoming less safe with every passing day. A Web site that claims to be located in Canada may not be, and the drugs it is selling may look like the real thing, but even experts are often unable to distinguish a safe and effective pill from a counterfeit pill or a substitute, contaminated, or expired pill. Even legitimate Canadian pharmacies increasingly rely on imports from other countries. Imports from Bangladesh were up 1,336 percent between 2002 and 2003; from China, 439 percent; South Africa, 389 percent; and Saudi Arabia, 90 percent. These are not countries known for the quality of their pharmaceutical industries.

There is no generic drugs in the US at this time. But they are the same. And yes they can come from India, England, New Zealand & Canada. U just have to ask when you call. Or go on line.

This is only partially true. To go into a pharmacy IN Canada, one must have a prescription written by a Canadian physician. When we are in Canada, we bring our prescriptions written by our local physicians here, and we have a Canadian doctor who simply writes the identical prescriptions which we fill in Canada.
When we are not visiting Canada, for years we order our brand name drugs from Canadian MAIL ORDER pharmacies (NOT a local Canadian pharmacy). We have given these instructions to several of our doctors here.
Go online to Drug Price Comparisons & Online Pharmacy Safety | PharmacyChecker.com (http://www.pharmacychecker.com). Enter the name of any brand name drug you use (excluding controlled substances, which they are not permitted to fill), and look at the list of member MAIL ORDER pharmacies offering that particular drug and their price(s). Their websites will also tell you where the drug is manufactured; some are Canada, though most are overseas. Other than Canada, most often the drugs we use are manufactured in India, Turkey, and Australia and most often shipped through Mauritius. Of course, if one needs a medication immediately, for example, an antibiotic, buying this way is not practical.
Some pharmacies sell meds manufactured in different places—and clearly say so—at times with varying prices. Some sell both brand name and generic versions of the same medication and again clearly say so. Most but not all charge for shipping (though generally an order of more than one prescription will have only one shipping charge). Some offer first-time buyers a bonus; others offer a bonus if you refer someone else who buys. Most will price-match each other. Most are members of CIPA (Canadian International Pharmacy Association). They are businesses like any other business. I myself am a dual citizen (US-Canada) and so am familiar with the locations of some of these pharmacies.
If you tend to be doubtful about the value of purchasing prescription medications this way, at least take a look at the Drug Price Comparisons & Online Pharmacy Safety | PharmacyChecker.com (http://www.pharmacychecker.com) website, enter a high-priced drug you use, and see where it takes you. It's also interesting to read the information provided on their websites about Canadian mail order pharmacies and how they operate. We've been doing this for years and have never had a problem.

FDA inspects manufacturers or processors of FDA-regulated products to verify that they comply with relevant regulations. Those inspected include - vaccine and drug manufacturers
FDA also inspects - foreign manufacturing and processing sites for FDA-regulated products that are sold in the United States
What does FDA inspect? | FDA (https://www.fda.gov/about-fda/fda-basics/what-does-fda-inspect)
Canada does not inspect overseas manufacturing, and they admit that they do not.

A few years ago I went for a while to a doctor who was from Canada. He told me to stay away from them as I would not always receive what they claimed to send. I have followed his advice.
From time to time over many years I have bought antibiotics and a few other medications in Mexico and never had a problem. I actually bought them in person and inspected the boxes they came in making sure they came from major drug companies. I also opened the boxes and made certain the pills were properly factory sealed.
I contracted giardia (the unofficial state parasite of New Mexico - it is commonly found in municipal water systems there) several times while living in northern New Mexico in the 1970s and 1980s. A local MD who specialized in such ailments recommended tinidazole, invented in 1972, chemically similar to Flagyl, which was at the time not yet available in the USA (It did not become available in the US until 2004). I had to buy it in another country and Mexico was the closest. The drug was gentler on my system than Flagyl had been and worked faster and better.
