The tunnel under Morse Blvd (near Wynn Dixie) is partially barricaded at the W/D end. Looks like it might have been a sinkhole that's been filled in........Anybody????

Or a drainage pipe failure?
Same thing most of the time here. Most if not all of The Villages sinkholes are caused by failures from the storm water drain piping and the piping that connects the ponds. Some are also caused by failure in the pond liners

I can tell you aren’t a Villages employee since they have been carefully instructed to never use the “S” word. They are instructed to refer to them as depressions. I supposed the term is accurate, they are very depressing for the residents who have one open up near their home.

They've been working on it on and off for 3 days. This morning at 9:30 it was not blocked so they may have started working again. Yesterday (Mon) they were jackhammering it at that same time when I WALKED through it and they were starting to pour concrete . They are digging up the drain. You can see the new concrete, Sorry, no sinkhole. :D

I can always count on you for the correct answer, unlike some who just post to increase their post count.:024::wave:
