I rarely answer the phone if I do know the name that shows up on Caller ID. Most of the time these calls show up as Unknown, Out Of Area or Name Unavailable. Should I answer the phone I answer with, "Just a minute, please." I wait for a response to determine is there is a live person, and continue with, "Thanks for waiting. Sgt. Friday, Fraud Division. How can I help you?" I don't understand why, but they never seem to call again.

LOL - I have received those calls. I just tell them
"I'm willing to surrender and to come and get me. I'll be at the pool."
They just hang up.
