I really enjoyed The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman. It is the first in a murder mystery series, it is a lot of fun. It takes place in a luxurious retirement community & the developer is found murdered. Of course it is the retirees who begin investigating. Highly recommended.

I agree with you. The retirement home is in the UK which gives an interesting aspect in comparing the like of a seventy something in the UK with the USA. Interesting characters as well.
