Alex Jones will be accountable for lies about Sandy Hook and pay 4 million and possibly more. I can't stand liars. Hopefully more heads will roll for their lies, I'm counting the days.

He had such a great legal team. With 2 more trials to go his bankruptcy attorney says he skimmed around 62million. If you get a chance to watch his show he presents an image not seen in court between selling supplements every 5 minutes.

The man is repulsive. And most media people are nothing like him. Thank God.

The gullibility and, yes, the sheer stupidity, of an appalling number of Americans are mind-boggling to those who can still think for themselves.
How can people fall for, and elevate, these media monsters?
@$$#&%+$ like Jones, and many other high-profile, power-grabbing, money-grubbing sociopaths, have nothing but contempt for the American people……
And those for whom they have the most contempt are their idiot followers. (They mock and laugh at those followers all the way to the bank or wherever they stash or spend all that money made on the backs of fools.)
I sure hope we see Jones brought down to a quivering blob of nothing.

There are honest politicians and honest media. There are a few “bad apples” in any occupation just as there are good people and bad.

The man is beyond disgusting. How does anybody treat people like that, especially after the unimaginable pain of losing a child. If you believe in hell, this is where people like Alex Jones should go when he dies.

InfoWars host Alex Jones was ordered to pay $4.1 million by an Austin jury Thursday after a lawsuit by the family of a 6-year-old victim killed in the December 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.
Scarlett Lewis and Neil Heslin’s son Jesse Lewis died after 20-year-old Adam Lanza opened fire inside Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, killing 20 children and six adults. They sued Jones for $150 million for defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress for making false statements and repeated suggestions that the incident was a hoax, according to NBC News.
The jury was asked to conclude whether Jones should pay the family for emotional stress and reputational damage, according to NBC News. The judge had reportedly already found Jones liable for not turning over relevant evidence before trial kicked off and, denied the request of Jones’ attorney, Andino Reynal, for a mistrial Thursday following his team sending a digital copy of Jones’ cellphone to opposing counsel by mistake, the outlet reported.
Reynal said his client paid the price already after being removed from social media platforms and losing followers several years ago, NBC News reported. He requested the jury to only award the family $1.
“He made a terrible mistake,” Reynal said during the defamation trial. “That mistake was weaponized by the same political forces that had descended upon Sandy Hook when it happened.”
The core of the trial stemmed in part from Jones suggesting Heslin lied about holding his son “with a bullet hole through his head,” according to NBC News. Heslin made the comment about holding his son during an episode of “Sunday Night With Megyn Kelly” in 2017. The couple argued during testimony that Jones perpetuated fear through his remarks about the shooting. “Having a 6-year-old son shot in front of his classroom is unbearable and you don’t think you’re going to survive and then to have someone on top of that perpetuate a lie that it was a hoax, that it was a false flag,” Lewis said during her testimony. “I don’t think you understand the fear you perpetuate, not just to the victim’s family but to our family, our friends and any survivor from that school.”
In addition to Heslin and Lewis, several other families have sued Jones and InfoWars after the shooting. Jones lost another lawsuit in October 2021 filed by Leonard Pozner and Veronique De La Rosa, whose son, Noah Ponzer, died in the shooting. Their lawsuit alleged that Jones suggested the shooting was staged by the government and that the parents of the victims were part of the act. The judge ordered him to pay “reasonable attorney’s fees in connection with Plaintiff’s Motion.” ("Jury Orders Alex Jones To Pay $4.1 Million In Sandy Hook Lawsuit", Nicole Silverio in The Daily Caller, August 4, 2022)
More than about time that media get slapped down for their gross twisting and oversensationalizing!
This clown got caught with his hand in the cookie jar, so to speak. Maybe these ratings-chasers will learn from what happened to Jones. Whether they like it or not, media do NOT have the right to cause provable injury or emotional pain in their unending quest for the almighty ratings dollar.

Politicans, movie stars, pro athletes, media and the mega-rich seem to do whatever they please and get away with it. Unfortunately, very very few are held accountable.

There is a frustrating difference between right, wrong and LAW. The press in the interest of freedom of the press, like it or not, is above the law. I will expect the award, the case will be appealed. You need to PROOVE intent to do damage
to collect a difficult thing to PROOVE.
Journalistic ETHICS on either side have gone out of the window. The LAW, we crossed that line with the kid, the rent a chief and CNN.

1. It's "prove," not "proove." Not even in all caps.
2. You don't need to prove intent in a civil suit. Proof of intent refers to criminal cases. For civil cases, you need only prove that the allegations are true, and that you suffered damages as a result.

Broad brush accusations are not any better than the liars. Not all media are at fault, not all journalist but Alex Jones crossed the line.

The problem these days is that many so-called news reporters lie as much as politicians. Maybe even more. We come to expect it from the politicians, but not from supposedly unbiased reporters.

It is not true justice unless the same standard is applied equally across the political spectrum. Let's hope the victims of CNN's and MSNBC's frequent acts of defamation are some day afforded comparable access to jury trials.
Look how long they lied about people involved with Hunter's laptop and Russiagate (years) and then never apologized. And there is so much more. In many cases they lost employment and had to declare bankruptcy.

It’s $45.2 million awarded by the jury. I can’t stand Jones, and I’m glad he was found guilty, and I’d love to have him repent and admit that most of what he has ever said has been lies, but I also don’t like the damages awarded by juries. $4 million is a lot, but within range of what the dead child might have earned in his lifetime. $45.2 million is not. And it’s not like Jones killed the child, even though he lied. This goes for damages country-wide. Sometimes gigantic awards are made to opioid addicts who have been receiving welfare benefits most of their life. Were they ever going to earn that much?
Make the punishment fit the crime. Maybe cut out his tongue. Or better yet, ban him from all forms of public dissemination of information true or false for life.

His intent was to do harm, and the 45 million in addition he has to pay may get his attention.

I like the cut out his tongue part. Maybe rapists should have the same type of punishment too

Alex Jones is a conman that went too far. He had been spinning his nonsense even before Sandy Hook and making a lot of money doing it. He knew what he was saying was false, but he didn't care. What was worse is that he was lying to his own followers, and they bought into it. Not only did his followers believe his lies, but these are the type of people that take action.
You can say his believers are a fringe group, but I think we are becoming aware that followers of these outlandish stories rank in the millions. It doesn't matter what proof you put in front of them, they would rather believe there is a conspiracy behind it all.

In this case there are not a few but many dishonest people in the media. This is what makes people like Alex Jones possible.

It wasn't ok for States like Arizona, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin to throw their legislative laws out the window. State legislatures, per the US Constitution, determine the time, place and manner in which its elections will be held.
This process halted in 2020. At no time in 2020 did the legislative body's in these States pass laws to change the time, place and manner of its elections, therefore the States violated the US Constition. This was not ok! And if it doesn't bother you even a tiny little bit, or make you question the legitimacy of the 2020 election, well then, I've got some ice to sell you in Alaska.
There's but one national media news outlet (FOX) for conservative principals i.e., conserve the founding, conserve founding principles, conserve freedom. Ask yourself why. Why is there only one conservative NEWS media outlet? I think FOX is all alone in the wilderness. All others are perhaps more like the propagandists doing the bidding of Hitler. Or in this case for the D's. They're not truth speakers, they're simply propagandists like wolves in sheep's clothing. If you don't know the constitution you can't know America.
This response is just food for your thought. Have an open mind. Hatred for one is hatred for all. No peace no love. Know peace know love.
Peace be with you all!
“ It’s Not A Lie If You Believe It.” There are 2 other news outlets in competition for conservative viewership OAN and NEWSMAX. Although more extreme than Fox exploiting conspiracy theories.

In the case of the malignant tumor named Alex Jones, fair American justice was applied perfectly, with much more to come. In 20 years he will be in the dustbin of history and most will not even remember him.
