Is there somewhere I can donate or recycle VHS tapes?

Put them in with the regular garbage. The recycling items are sorted at a facility from the safely incinerated items.

Mark Twain library used to take them but stopped years ago, which is probably a good indication that no-one else will want them :-(

If you have any of the original Disney VHS tapes, they are worth something. Some more than others.....

Since the energy for waste, there is no sorting. Metal is recovered after burning.

There's a collector's market for vhs. Check your titles and editions before throwing them out. Much like vinyl records, 80-90% are worthless. But its worth a look see.
