Hi,
Looking for some input on experiences with village dentists. Will be needing some crown work and not familiar with local dentists. Any input is appreciated.

If you go to the top of the page (green bar on my page setup), toward the right is the SEARCH function. I ran a quick one and many threads came up, too numerous for me to copy and paste the links for you. But a few of them are very recent, so those you should read first.
Even the threads where people are complaining about their particular dentist will have responders listing their favorite dentist.

Magnolia Dental on Hwy 441/27. Phone 352-245-0780. Dr. Sanchez and Dr. Hernandez (Husband/wife) do an excellent job at reasonable rates.

Marion Dental Group. On Hwy 441 a couple of blocks north of Buenos Aires. My dentist is a Ukrainian guy, very good and knowledgeable.
What impressed me about Marion Dental Group (aside from the quality of what they do) is that they don't try to sell you anything you don't need. My first visit there was when I lost a cap on a front tooth. I fully expected a crown as my former dentist in Minnesota told me that if the cap didn't hold, a crown was next up. The dentist at Marion Dental Group (Dr. Ha, at the time) said "no, I can fill that". And she did. Two years now and still holding.

Thank you for the leads. Needed to find a dentist as I'm due for my 6 month checkup. My dentist and his staff in Vegas where I used to live were awesome, so I'm looking for a good one here. Will try one of these.

We're very happy with Palm Ridge Dental. The only downside is they don't accept insurance but they will file the claim to your insurance company for you. You just have to wait to get reimbursed. We're not on Medicare yet so can't speak to that.

We’ve been using Dr. Kim, (Bright Smile) for 11 Years. Very happy with him and his staff. His wife does the scheduling and books, not a rip off. Excellent Dentist. 734 South US Hwy 451, Lady Lakes. 352-728-1100.

Recommendations on this site lead me to Marion Dental 13700 N US Hwy 441
Lady Lake FL 32159 (352) 259-0822. Dr. Edwards was able to get me in same day for a cracked tooth and sent me to an Endodontist. Dr. Edwards did a great job on the crown prep and crown too. Other dentists at Marion Dental were recommended too.

My advice: Get a second opinion. I had this recommended to me on one of those "new patient" specials. My long-term dentist up north said "no way!". Not the first time something like this has happened here in our search for a good local dentist. I've had 40+ years in the dental industry and can see through all this stuff. You should have better luck searching for a dentist outside The Villages. And beware of dentists who do a lot of advertising and promote specials.

I have had a good experience with Grand Traverse Dental next to Brownwood. They have state of the art equipment. When I went for my 1st cleaning, they didn’t try to upsell me with the deep cleaning. They did suggest 2 services: oral cancer screening and fluoride. The hygienist was able to tell me on the spot what my cost would be after my insurance. The cleaning was gentle and comfortable. They were able to schedule me for a crown appointment pretty quickly. I recommend them!

Here’s a second for Heritage Dental. Quite personal and professional. They also don’t try to up-sell you anything you don’t need like some corporate dental organizations.

Serenity Dental Spa in Spanish Springs is very good. Dr Marie Luong. She has her own 3D printer so Crowns are done in about 90 min. No impressions or temporary crowns. Have been going to her for about 9 years. Great assistants and front desk folks. Also very clean and safe!

Run away from these dishonest so-called dentist. Broke a bridge that THEY put in and will not honor its 1 year warranty. THEY continually come up with excuses to push beyond the 1 year so that it is now at my expense to replace. RUN!

I highly recommend Ocala Family Dentistry. I recently had a filling in a molar come loose. I have a crown in the molar next to it and I feared the crown needed to be replaced. I cannot have a temporary crown so I require a dentist with a Cerac machine-3D scan of tooth, permanent crown in a little over an hour. I called them in my search for a ‘fix’. They were able to fit me in the next morning to diagnose the problem-without the whole New Patient Appointment, piles of X-rays, cleaning, huge fees, etc. Two xrays, a quick confirmation of the loose filling and an appointment the following week to replace said filling. Seamless! No pain, no pressure. I’ve scheduled my New Patient exam in a couple months. Two very nice young, female dentists with excellent progressive technology and a kind and friendly staff.

We loved Dr. Quinta Davis when she was with Lifetime Dentistry, but she left and started her own, private practice in Wildwood on CR44, next to the Sunny Pint Tap Room, across 44 from Nahas Chevy: Touch of Art Dental Studio 352-405-6500. She's great and a fantastic staff.

We have been extremely happy with Lifetime Dentistry of Lady Lake located at 13851 N US Hwy 441, Lady Lake, FL 32159-8924; Phone Number: 352-350-6104. They offer great Dental Services, at reasonable cost. They also have an efficient and honest office staff (some other Dental Office staffs have tried to over bill and over charge us).

I use Prime Dentistry on 466 and they are fair in price and treat you with care. Now when I say fair in price that’s fair for The Villages. I’m from Michigan and the prices here for medical, dental or eye care is through the roof, but we love living here so you just have to pony up to the price of living where services are high. I mean my gosh, just go to the car dealership to get your car serviced… I took my car to the Lincoln dealership for an oil change and service and it was $187. What happened to the days when you got an oil change for $39? I could go on and on but I regress to just pay and shut my mouth. Have a great day!

I'm sure there are many good dentists out there, we did have one dentist that I would be aware of.
We started to go to Aspen dental because it was nearby, after about six month their hygienist left and our appointment, were canceled, and we were informed it would be rescheduled when they got a new one. It took a while and a number of calls, which they never return, but finally they came through. Then guess what it happened again, their new hygienist left them and again we got a notice that our appointments were canceled. This time was different a long period of time went by, I not only called them several times and again they never return calls. So actually, went there. They told me they still did not get a new hygienist, but not to worry we were on the list. We moved over to Village Dental, not only are they good, but they master the skill of how to return phone calls.
Months have gone by and the only thing I've gotten from Aspen is an email ad every now and then about having a nice smile. What a way to run a business.

First of all, let me say that I am a retired general dentist with 40 years experience.
I highly recommend Dr Contreras at Magnolia Dental Care. Located in the Magnolia Plaza, across from the new McDonalds at Warm Springs and Marsh Bend. Great location and staff, and an experienced, caring and honest dentist. Tell them Dr Brown sent you. 😊

Anyone has deep root cleaning by someone they recommend?
I had deep cleaning done by Trailwinds Dental. Very good and honest cleaning staff. It required two visits @ two quadrants per visit and cost a Total of $180.00 with my Delta Dental insurance. I calcify, so it was well worth it. My gums have improved from 4 to 2-3.
Other estimates were over $1000 for the procedure. Not this kid.
