On Aug. 13 around 10 a.m., Sumter County officers were in the area of Clearwater Run and Pawley’s Island Path in The Villages in reference to an armed and barricaded subject. Villagers were asked to stay in their homes during this time. Contact Sumter County Sheriff’s Office at 352-793-2621 for more information and/or assistance.

Because all social workers want nothing more than to deal with armed confrontations.

This would be after SWAT took the husband to a mental health facility.
