Anyone have any comments on their experience for replacing vinyl siding. As would like to consider something other than vinyl,
Hardie planks, etc,
Thank youi

His minimum charge is $150.
Just spoke to him the other day but ended up doing it myself as it was a small area and I had some unused siding and the $5 tool required.

Vinyl replacement of a few pieces is relatively easy, I did this for a neighbor, took a few minutes. I am sure there are youtube videos to help, and I am sure there are many handymen that can do this. You biggest problem will be matching the color if your exisitng siding is over a few years old, if it is several years old you may noy be able to match the actual pattern. Home warranty should be able to tell you the original color, and manufacturer of the siding as well as the installer. You can then contact the installer to see if it is still available and if they are interested in the repair.
