Mark your calendars! Oct. 15, 2022 - Noon to 10 p.m in Brooksville, FL (only about 55 miles from The Villages).
Octoberfest Featuring Running of the Wieners - benefits Low Rider Dachshund Rescue of Florida
Put on by Marker 48 Brewing at 12147 Cortez Blvd, Brooksville, FL 34613.
Some of the things going on:
* Dachshund races
* Racing for small, medium, and large dogs (so bring your dogs!!)
* Plenty of German beer on tap
* Music
* Food trucks
* German Band The Low Down starting at 6pm
* Stein holding competitions
* German costume contests

I wasn't there last time they had this, but I heard from people who attended. They loved it! And it raised a good amount for the rescue. A good time whether you like beer or not.
