What paperwork (if any) is required when selling a used golf cart between private individuals in TV?

Since it's not a registered vehicle, I would think just a simple bill of sale or receipt.

None whatsoever, but a wise man requires a bill of sale (in case you later find it is damaged/stolen/etc.).

No paperwork just hotify your insurance carrier that you no longer own it, and do not forget to add the new one.

The Villages golf cars did provide me with a certificate of origin from Yamaha when we purchased our new cart, it included the cart serial number.

Receipt is all, to ensure no one can say it was stolen. You’re only protecting yourself from the other party.

The cart should also have a certificate of origin. One came with both of the Yamaha new carts I purchased. When I sold my used ones, I made a simple bill of sale and attached the certificate. Insurance compaines will want to know the cart's serial number.

It seems like the new owner may want to register the cart with the manufacturer, so they can be notified about recalls.

No paperwork is required. But it would be smart to at least get a Billis sale. And a receipt
