Got my renewal letter and went to the website to renew(very slick by the way) and it no longer required one to select 2,3 or 4 courses, there was only one fee to select. I don't recall hearing that change before so I asked at the pro shop this morning and they said that was true.
Now we can play any course and get the discount.

Now if they could just make the monthly rate 1/12 that of the annual rate so that priority would be cost effective for part time residents.

I bought in The Villages a year ago and that's how it was then. You had your choice of selecting a limited # of clubs or selecting ALL the Championship courses (different prices, of course). If I recall correctly, there was also an option to buy membership "by the month".

You can also select a monthly option in addition to the six month or one year options that is perfect for snowbirds...

BUT now the trail fee for executive courses is no longer included. So if you also play executive courses you have to pay an additional fee of $141 per year or $105 for 6 months or $4 each time you play and use your golf cart.

This free golf for life seems to be getting pretty expensive

The Championship courses were never free.
Can you add on the pools for just a month? How much? Our adult kids like using them but we never do.

Executive courses are free
Only free if you walk and carry or pull your own cart. Otherwise, you must pay trail fee.

:agree: MSGirl is correct..... but she probably understands "greens fees" and "trail fees" not everyone does. Exec. Golf is free. One pays a trail fee to ride in a cart. Not very difficult to understand. ;)

You pay to drive your cart on the course. You don’t pay to golf.
As you said, free to walk.

Executive golf IS NOT free , an often misunderstood concept !
Forget about paying the trail fee or not, PART OF OUR MONTHLY AMENITY FEE goes toward the maintenance of the executive courses..,
So yes, although there is no “greens fees” for executive courses for residents, we all DO PAY towards their maintenance. :icon_wink:
