Hello Everyone, This group raises money for shooting education programs here in the state of Florida. We support groups such as Boy Scouts, 4-H, ROTC programs as well as others. NONE of this money goes to politics.

I am a supporter of this fine organization. Where will the benefit take place?
That reminds me that I need a change of address so I can make my yearly contribution.
Thanks

The NRA is a lobbyist group. Your money is just going to support the K Street lobbyist in Washington to wine and dine the congressmen's staff. Give your money to some community groupls to fight hunger and homelessness right here on the outskirts of The Villages. Lots of food banks need help now.

Shooting defenseless animals in the brush or trophy Elk in Montana or supporting everyone's rights to own or use an AK47 is "having a good time"?

What defenses do all the animals you eat or wear have? Have you ever seen a slaughter house? I think living free snd getting shoot is a better option FYI only a small percentage of shooters collect trophies. Most hunters eat what they shoot just as most food shoppers eat what they hunt for, I mean shop for. I shoot targets as do the majority of shooters. Shooting is a valuable skill that even the government promotes through it's civilian marksmanship program.
P.S. It is illegal to own an AK47 as it is an M16 unless you have special licenses and permits. Your statement shows a bias based on a lack of knowledge of the subject. Do some research on your own rather than believe the media who loves to use the term assault rifle for non military single shot rifles.

Vinny,
It is not illegal to own an AK47 or a M16/AR15. It is also not illegal to own a fully automatic AK or AR if you get all the proper paper work and a tax stamp approved by ATF. Lots of paper work and there are other rules that you must follow as well. Really not worth all the trouble, time and money.
Looking forward to joining the Friends of the NRA when we get moved and settled in our new home.

What's gonna get heated? The conversation, or the water in that snazzy pink pistol??
