To those who have been watching the TV coverage of the President's Cup, which statement(s) do you agree with:

1) The "cart cam" is the stupidest idea, ever, in the history of sports coverage predating gladiatorial combat in the Roman coliseum.

2) NBC/Golf Channel should profusely apologize to the viewing public for inflicting the "cart cam" on their audience.

3) The NBC producer who came up with this idea should be immediately fired and banned from the TV industry for life

4) Someone should do a public service and let the air out of all the tires on both "cart cams"

5) Davis Love and Trevor Immelman should wake up and put black tape over the camera lenses

hmmm. I'm gonna take a wild guess here and say, I take it you don't like the cart cam??

I enjoy the cart cam, just as I enjoy the 'Toptracer' on golf shots. In fact, I wish that Toptracer was used on all golf shots - from all golfers. Then again, I also enjoy the superimposed yardage markers during football games, which a lot of 'traditionalists' bemoaned when it first started. Why have new ideas, progress and improved technology - if they're not used?

Yeah, it shows a guy driving a golf cart. It would be a lot more interesting to have the radio transmissions like they do with auto racing.

100 hours of coverage.

Covering captains' wives.

Sunday afternoon, coverage will include captain's pets.

Why do they call it The President's Cup?

"In short, the incumbent US president or the head of state of the host country, depending on where the tournament was held, played the role of Honorary Chairman.

The championship is named after this tradition.

This year, US president Joe Biden will serve as the Honorary Chairman."

What is the Presidents Cup and why is it called that? (https://www.sportskeeda.com/golf/what-is-presidents-cup-and-why-is-it-called-that)

Thanks. I wonder why they need an Honorary Chairman to have a golf tournament. Call me skeptical, but I wouldn't be surprised if some of my tax dollars are being spent on the tournament.

Cart cam: just another pointless gimmick to fill space in the broadcast. Luckily we have DVR's and FF buttons.

Maybe they are feeling the pressure from LIV.

I am not a golfer but I stumbled across a LIV tournament and found it much more engaging than a PGA one with its graphics, special effects and non stop action.

LIV Golf sails over par with unique look - NewscastStudio (https://www.newscaststudio.com/2022/06/16/liv-golf-sails-over-par-with-unique-look/)

I know that traditionalist will hate it but they will probably draw in more viewers who don't typically watch golf.

Just my most humble opinion, but, golf is a great game to play, but a lousy spectator sport. 😑😴😎

What President provides the "Cup"?

We like the action of the President's Cup, more shots to see - match play is so much more interesting. BUT can't stand the split screen, millions of commercials and hurricane updates at crucial points when the storm is still a bit away. We will continue to DVR and skip through all the junk. That's what better about the LIV, including the shotgun starts so everyone is on the course at the same time.

Aside from the "cart cam", it was pretty interesting to watch. At least the Internationals put up a bit of a fight towards the end. But imagine if there was a womans' Presidents Cup? I bet the Internationals would be tough to beat on that one.

The shots of people riding the golf cart are on no more than 30 seconds. I assume you also don’t like, in football games, when shots of fans in the stands shown rooting for their team is not great either.

I'm sure there is a tee shot or a putt that could be shown in 4,5, or 12 matches out there in the same 30 seconds. A football game has only one play at a time. Once they've shown every shot, they can add all the fluff they want, however, that was not the case.

I do the same thing. I would just as soon as have them go to full size commercial instead of split screen. And the commercials are always so large that you can't see the little Golf screen.

I couldn't disagree more. The cart cam gives you perspective of what the team captains go through during his day.

Really????? All it showed was the captain driving in the cart. If you gained perspective on what the captain goes through during the tournament from that, congratulations on your intuition!
