Looking for GP doctor, cardiologist, Dentist referrals moving to villages with my mom

Does anyone have referral of good cardiologist, GP doctor, Dentist etc..mom is 75 and is insulin dependant with several heart surgeries so needs great dr's here..also dentist..any help appreciated. Also how long in advance do you usually have to book for appt?

Recommend Marion Dental Group. I've been using them since I got here and am quite satisfied with their service. One large point in their favor is that they don't try to sell you products and services that you don't need, as quite a lot of other dentists around TV apparently do.

The thing about healthcare here is that it totally depends on your insurance. There are doctors that only take United Healthcare and Florida Blue. Check with your insurance company for referrals.

Thank you and cant wait to move there:) I use Baylee Dental on 401 in Summerfield. They are great and reasonable prices. They do not accept insurance but will help you with the info to file

Found health care to be horrendous in the villages. The hospitals in the village and Leesburg are rated very low. Finding a GP is very hard especially one who takes your insurance and you like. Been here two years and both doctors I had retired. Now have an appointment for a new one, but had to wait over 2 months to get in to see him.

My sister and husband who moved her last year had enough with the poor health care and moving back to Texas. I came here from an area with world class healthcare and am too revisiting my choice of living here.

One would think this area would have world class facilities. Like the one I was told was being built in south on my visit over 3 years ago..

G.P. = Dr Michael Glick (office across from Villages Hospital) He is an amazing diagnostician, is direct, caring, and listens as well as asks questions. Top credentials. He also tracks your routine specialists visits on the computer and takes all information into account as he assesses you with each visit. I have been to many PCPs in my lifetime in many States and he is the best, maybe even a genius. Office phone: 352-753-5222

Depending on where you are moving to in the area - Citrus Cardiology in Lake Sumter Landing area are some of the best. Aesthetic Dental on 466 A across from Colony Plaza.

Since UF Health acquired both TV and Leesburgh hospital services have been getting better.
