Our xfinity internet has been down for hours. Do you have internet with Xfinity? We have reset our modem a couple of times and still no internet.

EDIT…. Just realized I should have started this thread in the Non Villages Discussion.

Yup, we have Xfinity. It went down for a few minutes twice yesterday. It has been fine since then and is up now. We are in McClure

Ours has been working for hours since some interruptions last night at the height of the storm. I would suggest double checking all of the connections, just in case one loosened when you were rebooting. If you can contact Comcast by phone, you can have them test your equipment to see if it is working, assuming you are using Comcast equipment. If you are using your own modem, you are probably on your own.

Ours started working sometime this afternoon. I’ve been using Xfinity Stream for the past couple of days.

No issues since 3 am this morning. Did you go to your online account to trouble shoot, if it does work Comcast will call you within 5 minutes and remotely fix it

Thanks to all for your replies. Seems our modem (our own equipment) was the problem but it is working now.

You can also reboot your system online on Comcast website if you own your modem or not.

Today's trouble was not your equipment, it was on their side.

I know my husband has done that before when we have gone off line. Thank you.

Same here in Hawkins. I just noticed that I lost TV channels and internet at 06:50 on Friday. This is the same thing that was happening during the storm.

My contract is up in November, and I'm now seriously considering looking for a new service provider.

TV came back within a few minutes, but it's still a bit of a head-scratcher when it drops out. I end up checking and rechecking my equipment. I know sure as heck if I wasted my time calling Comcast would NEVER admit they are having the problem.

Seriously consider StarLink. A little more money but never missed a second. It’s our son’s equipment but he was visiting and offered so we gave it a shot. I’m in for sure. He had a good laugh when he found out that I had gone back to Xfinity. They had been doing fine until the storm. We’ll see.

Ours went down a total of three times during the entire event, no one time for more than maybe three minutes.

Xfinity went down a second time late morning this time for a good half hour. Could have understood during the storm but wondering why today?

My daughter works from home in Leesburg but moved to our house Wednesday. Xfinity has been off and on today. She's had a hard time explaining that to her boss in Texas. Comcast must be repairing service somewhere south that cuts off our lines here.

Xfinity (Comcast) does notify customers when they have an outage. It is on a recorded message when you call to report a problem with service. They are very transparent when the problem is at their end.

Comcast's FL data centers are located somewhere south of Tampa as well as near Miami and Tallahassee. This was why service was very spotty the past couple days. If your service didn't intermittently go down it was likely you weren't using it when it did. I get notified when internet is down for more than 30-45 seconds. Over the last few days it was out numerous times. Today, as of 10PM, was the first 100% uptime day since the storm. How about the other ~20% of Florida who have no service and those with no homes to get service? I guess we tend to be a bit spoiled. ;)
