Lately, I've made comments intending to defend one of our members who received feedback that seemed rude. Now I understand that the situation is actually the reverse, and my perception was completely wrong.

While I still believe that we should be commenting on the content of a post, and not on the personality of the member who made that post -- I've realized that I've got a lot to learn about judging character.

Please accept my apology.

Are you expecting feedback from your post? Should I ask what you are talking about? Does it involve a character that the sun creates?

No, I'm not expecting any feedback. And yes, the sun does create those!

um K9,
Ajack asked you if it involved a character the sun creates. I guess he thought you would realize what he was talkin' about.

Guess it went right over your head. So to speak. :jester:

Sorry, Ajack, I thought you would realize it was concerning the thread started by Shadow a few days ago. No, I'm not expecting feedback.

I thought you meant him. I just didn't want to say his "name" This is why I gave the hint " Character that the sun create" Get it? A shadow.

Was there some recent developments about him?

Duh, let me go edit my post. No, no recent developments other than the cute baby picture. I've just been thinking about it and thought I was being arrogant. And wrong.

I was hesitant to say anybodies name. Did he get reprimanded? Did I miss something?

I would not worry about it. I have jumped off the wrong side of the fence and defended the the wrong guy more then once. ( or was it once :)

One thing about the internet is it is easy to misinterpret someone's words and intentions and, obviously, their subtleties. rofl

I wouldn't worry too much about defending someone as you did. You were doing what you felt was right and I think that was understood and accepted and probably even admired. If you hadn't noticed, you were merrily ignored and the comments kept right on coming.

Now, I gotta admit I knew exactly to whom Ajack was referring, but I didn't associate the reference to his name but rather to what many here probably call him under their breath. Sorry, Ajack, guess my mind is a bit further in the gutter than yours. (Think I misread the "sun .. create" to "sun don't shine." Don't ask.)

I was just wondering why this is in the "Just For Fun" forum and not the "General Discussion" forum.

ha ha ha.... I don't think it's possible to offend "The Shadow". Maybe I'm from outer space, but I believe the Shadow has a great sense of humor and posts just to get everyone's blood flowing... ...and it's working. I believe the Shadow enjoys the controversy and [sometimes] conflict the posts seem to cause. It's a persona and he plays it very well.

Personally, I find his posts rather humorous and very witty. You gotta admit, what he did with Gracie's address was damn funny, even though it was a bit scary (Sorry Gracie!). It also reminded ALL OF US what can happen when we post too much personal information on a website.

Go get 'em Shadow.... This is some pretty sick Sh**!

Clever, yet scary, yes. When he was describing how to get to "his" house, I was thinking: "Oh my gosh, he lives next door to Gracie and she doesn't even realize he is her neighbour." Duh. :mornincoffee:

I agree Memason, I think he's pretty funny and loves to get us all riled up. Shadow used to come into chat in the old days and we have an idea who it is, it was at the same time that Julia the ghost showed up.

I don't know what he posted about Gracie's address, but I know he got what he wanted, he's a very clever man....

We also had a guy called Phantom, who was also very scary but turned out to be a pussycat. He had us all going for awhile. Lots of fun on TOTV and a lot of clever minds....
