Understand that they will be building attached courtyard homes at the old Hacienda Hills Country Club. I would not call them a condo. Supposedly they will be starting work after 1/1/23.

There is an apartment building near Brownwood that I believe are rental apartments. Some apartments are in the planning stage in the Spanish Springs town center. I don't know whether they are planned as rental or condos. We have bought a preowned home and are moving to TV in ten days. Very happy.

I think I would call the townhouses in Spanish Springs and at the Glenview Country Club "condos". They are attached homes, like a typical Condo complex, and in addition to The Villages amenity fee, they have an additional HOA fee. They are quite nice and come in both 1 story and 2 story configurations. So if that is what you are looking for, you might consider keeping an eye open for a resale.

Actually they are two and three story Condos. One three story is currently for sale on Avenida De LAS CASAS.

This is the first time I've seen the courtyard homes rumored to be built at Hacienda Hills as "attached courtyard homes". Can you tell me where you learned that they plan to construct attached homes? I say "rumored", as it's now been years since the country club was demolished, and all we have is an open grassy lot and a large parking lot remaining.

Here is the problem with living in a condo. I owned a few in the past, not to live in but as investments. I was careful who I rented to, for selfish reasons, I did not want my investments destroyed. There are services that will handle that for you but are not as careful as they should be. You would hate to wake up one morning and find yourself living next door to a long lease undesirable neighbor.
A house is the better option.
A little space is a good thing.

I would never live in a condo again. The fees go up yearly and there are things you possibly cannot do. Sharing outside grills is one thing that I am not crazy about. Parking spots can also be an issue.

Not a rumor. There have been recent articles in local publications about what is being built and when.

New neighborhood of 25 villa homes will be built at the former site of the Hacienda Hills Country Club after residents loudly protested the approval of up to 150 apartment homes that included a ground-floor restaurant.
The proposed are being called Villas. A condo is totally different. Actually in realtor terms, a condo is multi-story and you own air space not land and a structure where you own the land beneath it is a townhouse. However, The Villages call them whatever they want. Good luck on getting a Villa at the old Hacienda Site. They are probably already sold.

Location location, the Hacienda Golf area is a great location. Its close to championship golf, shopping, hospital and doctors. No problem selling these housing units if built.

 The group of homes between La Hacienda Rec and Hotel on Alonzo Ave. I think they are Vista Largo Villas (townhouses/condos) had new roofs done recently and owners were assessed approximately $30,000 each. Then they took out a loan and repainted them. I don't like rumors.....I heard this personally from an owner :$: and they pay amenities and a condo fee monthly. :22yikes:

I know. I don't get it. After ten years of living in a townhouse when I was in my 30s (and with healthy knees back then), I vowed never to live in a home with stairs ever again. Never have and I'm happy.

The plan for that site has been in the newspaper. It’s one story villas (25). No mention of when. I’m sure they will be already sold before the public knows anything.

Why would anyone move here and have to become close and personal with stairs? Makes no sense at this stage of our lives

The townhouses that surround part of SS were built around the same time as square. Very picturesque, some with tile roofs, and courtyards. They have upstairs living, couple multiple set of stairs.
Guess developer thought residents in the 90’s were far more mobile and in better shape. I do love them reminds me of French Quarter
