I don't know that to be true. Aren't "stickies" advertisements for businesses? I've seen responses and responded to a couple myself; that meat market in Wildwood for example that posts a "stickie" here from time to time.

Maybe it has to do with whether or not they get permission first before they post.

Those are closed by the sales department not the moderators. It looks as though they are treating them more as announcements for their events instead of threads for discussion.

Some businesses have very strict rules on posting/replying, etc....usually the financial businesses, so we have to follow those rules! Thank you for your understanding!
