I'm new to TV (arrive on Friday - whoo-hoo) and trying to get the lay of the land with respect to golf nuances. I saw posted in TV newspaper during one of our trips TV championships so I know that is played once a year. I also understand that there is a Men's and Women's Day each week that plays sort of like a tournament. Are there other regular golf tournaments that are played on Village courses (e.g., a monthly ABCD scramble, any Ryder Cup like Village against Village, etc.). I'll likely discover the answer to this question pretty quickly once I arrive and start playing at the various courses and ask all of the club pros what's going on, but it would be great to get some advance intel, if possible.

My understanding is to do the tournaments played on the championship courses you need an established handicap and have a "priority" membership.

Several of the executive courses have a Men's day and a Ladies day once a week that is played scrambles-style over a shotgun start on the 9 holes. You do not need a priority membership nor handicap to participate in these.

Hope this helps.
