My villa has a Whirlpool water softener. It was turned off when we purchased. . .but I'd like to get it operable again. I'm looking for someone experienced with water softners, Whirlpool in particular, who would be able to clean it up and get it running. . .but I'm not finding any ads about servicing water softeners. Would appreciate any advice or recommendations.

If you can find or download the user manual, these typically will give you all the info you need. I have used Sears units for decades and was able to do all of the maintenance myself.
If you are not into DIY, then I would just start calling the local plumbers to see if they will work on your unit, and typical cost.
