As of Nov 8 at 8 PM, only the Euro model shows Nicole remaining at Tropical Storm strength until landfall near Stuart FL, while the National Hurricane Center's own "hurricane" model shows it reaching Cat 2 as it hits Cape Canaveral. And now we wait to see what happens.

Use Windy.com - HRRR hurricane tracker might be the most accurate.
At the top right of the homepage, click on the hurricane icon under the "3D" button.

So Nicole strengthened to 75mph - closer to a tropical storm than a Cat 2 hurricane, and it came ashore south of Vero Beach, closer to Stuart than to Cape Canaveral.
I’d say that’s closer to a win for the Euro model than for the NHC.
