I use the app WindCompass and saw gusts to 52mph earlier. The highest sustained I saw was 32.

I also us PWS Monitor which lets you see personal weather stations in your area. I saw gusts to 45mph. But these can be somewhat unreliable depending on where people place their wind gauge.

You have a valid point - I think. Your site does exhibit actual data via clearer verbiage. Looks like a peak at 7AM of 32 mph. Since I am a snowbird and this storm being extremely rare to be in November it is my first real time experience. If that one gust that blew my outdoor bar door open was 32 mph I promise never to stick around here if 100 mph is forecast.

The good thing is..............houses are packed in tight.
The damage comes to homes next to open spaces (course, parking, swamp, etc.).

Lucky me - my house is on an oversized golf course lot with the lanai and outdoor bar facing north east. A direct hit this am. No damage but a few sabre rattlings.

It surely was more than a 32 MPH wind that blew the top screen off my lanai. We have debris in our pool and a bird flying around in the lanai. Screen folks on call.

:mademyday:

The worst is hitting someone's roof!
Then taking a provisional, aiming farther away and the provisional lands in the same yard as the first ball. . .

My weather station measured two gusts at 29-mph and none higher. West side of Marsh Bend.

As someone already pointed out, there can be a lot of variables to wind measurements taken at local locations. The NOAA NWS station closest to the TV southern end is located at the Leesburg airport. An NWS station meets all the national standards for location and configuration, which results in consistent measurements, at least at that location. Of course, it can vary the farther away you are. Here is the link to the forecast version. National Weather Service (https://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=28.9084&lon=-81.9743#.Y29poMvMIYE)
Once there you can click on the "3 Day History" button which gives you this chart; National Weather Service : Observed Weather for past 3 Days : Leesburg International Airport (https://w1.weather.gov/data/obhistory/KLEE.html). Looking back on this chart it shows the highest gust recorded at that station was 48mph on the 10th between 9:53 and 10:53am.
I am not saying other anemometers around the area can't measure legitimate windspeeds, I just like to use the NWS measurements as a consistent reference point. Around my neighborhood for example, it is not possible to set up an anemometer that meets NWS standards due to buildings, trees, etc.

You can also go to Weather Underground and get longer term histories and graphics for many other stations in addition to NWS data.
