agree with you 100% but i also admire the courage of the iranian team who are putting themselves at extreme personal danger to highlight their governments tyranny.
The hoped for result is an uprising by the iranian people in a persian street movement towards the overthrow of the tyrannical theocracy

The USA have a good team.
They are very fair, quick and athletic - they just have problems getting the ball into the net, which was a lifesaver for England when we played them.
IMO the US team play how the game used to be, before the game was swamped with stifling tactics, cynical cheating, and lack of flair.
I played the game for years, and was a fan when I gave up playing, but now only the World Cup gets me to turn on the tv. to watch.
Game has gone to the dogs!

Interesting fact.
England have never beaten USA in a World Cup. 3 draws and a loss!
We have a better record against Germany, and they stuff us most of the time!:ho:

Played high school and college ball, used to watch the games but gave up with the flopping and feigned fouls and injuries. Iran did it in spades during the game. In my play days if you flopped, both sides would tell you to get your a…s up or get run over.
