I’m looking for a source to purchase some switchback drl/turn signal led strips for my golf cart.
Preferably, strips that have the 3m adhesive backing, and are somewhat flexible.
I’ve seen them on some of the newer golf carts.
I’ve checked online, but can’t seem to find the type that I see on carts in The Villages.

The three wire switchback lights that act as white running lights, but switch to amber blinkers when the blinkers are activated, are difficult to find online. Amazon has options that are what I’m looking for, except that are only 6 inches long and don’t easily bend to match the contour of a golf cart body. I will be interested to see if anyone else can recommend an online source.

Been buying these switchbacks for years from this guy (local in FL). Work great: 2 X LED Switchback, Daytime Running / Turn Signal Strip Lights, | eBay (https://www.ebay.com/itm/152029029130?hash=item2365a2e30a:g:G2IAAOSwTBRijnY m)
He will make any length. Replies to questions usually VERY fast and extremely fast delivery. He's made me custom length and color pigtails as well as strips ... very helpful.

Edit: Fixed link. I use Amber/red

How would these be installed. In the old days I'd install a cassette deck under my dashboard by putting a wire behind a fuse and attaching a ground. I assume cars have all the circuits in a computer. So... what is the method? Thanks!

The carts are more like an old school car, but from your comment please do not attempt this yourself. I have had to fix several installations done by DIYers. Most carts have a main fuse, and if you exceed the ratings, it blows, and the cart is dead, I have seen this a few times on gas carts. I use separate fusing and a relay to isolate the additional lighting. NOTE: some of the newer carts have electronic self cancelling turn signals, and i have no idea how much additional load these electronic modules can handle.

I just go to amazon.com , find what I want, establish an account, and order. I use it for a lot of stuff.

Thanks Ed, those are exactly what I have been looking for, just ordered a pair of white/amber strips. Got some wiring to do on the new EFI quiet tech and now have everything I need. Adding the light strips, a well hidden marine grade kill switch, and a Nilight 12 inch spot/flood combo light bar with a dedicated relay, fuse, and rocker switch. Gonna put a brush guard on the front to mount the light bar to. Thanks again : )

I'm still trying to find the back middle multi purpose light that The Villages Cars puts on it's carts. They won't sell them. Found some pickup truck lights that are nice, but too long for the roof of a cart.

Custom dynamics

I agree that Custom Dynamics is a top tier source of LED lighting, but they may not be the best vendor for golf cart lighting. Custom Dynamics designs and builds their LED products at their facility in North Carolina, and they source their OSRAM LEDs from Germany. Their products carry a no-BS lifetime warranty. I run Custom Dynamics LED lighting on two Harley-Davidson motorcycles because they are simply the best lighting solutions on the planet, and when I ride, I want to be seen. So, what is the problem for golf cart use? Cost. You could expect to spend about 4-5x what a typical Asian LED strip would cost. If money is no object, and you want the best, call Custom Dynamics and talk to their people...their tech support is top notch, located in the USA, and speaks English.

For most folks, though, the guy at Markets of Marion will fix you up just fine, at a much lower price point.

I had trouble finding them as well. The one from markets of Marion lasted a few week and were junk. Found them on Amazon but you have to search running board light to dind the white ones that have the chasing yellow for turn signal

We are talking milliamps from an LED strip, sir......
