Agree that Terro will do the job. Just feed them the Terro. Don't kill them with spray. They will take that stuff home to feed the colony.

Ditto, have had great success for years killing those tiny tiny ants by just sitting a piece of card stock with a couple drops of Terro by what appears to be where they are coming from. For us it has been a window ledge in bathroom window, and once near the threshold of the front door ! Terro always takes care of it in just a few days.

I have an extra bottle of Terro that you can have if you want. I used just drops on about 8 places and my ants are gone. I'm in the Village of Duval. I am Peter Schultz on English Ivy Circle

Correct. Also called sugar ants and Terro is the best. Let them take the Terro back to their nest where they all die.

Sugar ants usually around water sources. Terro products will take care of them.

Every single person on this thread recommended Terro. Yet, we have microscopic ants that are so small we tend not to see them unless they are on a very light surface, and they don't seem to be attracted to Terro at all. I have no idea how to get rid of ours.

We always use a mixture of borax and honey. One tab of each, mix together on a 4 inch sq of tin foil. Leave it where you see the ant trail for three days. DO NOT KILL THE ANTS WHEN THEY COME TO FEAST. Let them gorge them selves so they can take everything they can eat back to the nest. They will feed all the rest of the colony and the entire colony will perish. 3 days!

Sugar ants, often seasonal. Call Massey Services. They have a liquid they apply under your counters, takes about five minutes and ants are gone in a day or so.

Terro ant killer. Amazon has it. 2 oz bottle. Just put a drop or two along their path. And be patient, about 1-2 days they will be gone. The ants take it back to the colony and the queen will die.

We had tiny bugs. They had infested a sealed box of rice in a kitchen cabinet. Chewed through the wrapper. The exterminator lady from Dean’s discovered it. Got rid of the box and used Terro to get rid of the bugs. We now store all food boxes in the frig when leaving for extended periods.

Ghost Ants. Terro will do the job. Once one ant finds the terro (leave a drop or two on a tiny piece of cardboard, OR use the disposable traps) the word gets out and they all seem to find it. It is then brought to the colony. As others have said, do not spray. This will disperse them and result in multiple colonies.

I’ve had ghost ants in the past. They were coming from paper grocery bags and boxes from Publix. Then they infested my house and I had to have a pest control service get rid of them. Florida has too many creepy-crawlers, snakes of all kinds and big, grotesque alligators. I can only imagine what kind of dysfunctional hellscapes Villagers left behind to be able to put up with all of this! :ohdear:

I put those terro bait thingies down where the ants were clustering - on the kitchen counter near the toaster oven, next to the entry to the house by the door, and on the bathroom counter behind the sink (they were coming up through the drain, it looked like).
Someone told me the ants would go away by themselves eventually, usually within a week.
These little critters stuck around - in fact they really LOVED that terro. They lined up to coat themselves with it. Thousands and thousands of ants. My poor cat could barely eat because they would make a bee-line from the terro bait to the food dish and I wasn't home 24/7 to make sure the dish wasn't covered with them.
They eventually went away after a week.
The terro just attracted them. That's why it's called bait.
This year I think I'll go back to diatomaceous earth inside and outside.

Yes, the Terro attracts the ants. The ants then come by the hundreds/thousands to eat the Terro and take it back to the colony. Since Terro is also poisonous to ants, this has the effect of not only killing the ants that ate it but also the ants they took it back to. It sounds like you had a particularly large problem and the Terro worked as expected.
