]After completing a series of Swing on Move and Country 2 Step lessons (and holiday, vacation, cruise, Dr breaks) we will be teaching a series of Free beginner Polka Lessons. Even if you know how to polka this will also be a good refresher class with techniques that will improve your dancing in ballroom/Latin/C&W. The class teaches both smooth style, which is less aerobic, and how to add some hop with a series of easy turns.
The lessons will be at Big Cypress Rec Center starting Saturday 2/4/2023 12:00 to 12:50 with an Ethnic Folk Dance class after that starting at 1:00. If your interested in either or both classes or would like more information please send me a PVT msg thru Talk of the villages.
BTW the well attended Polka Lovers Club holds a monthly meeting the 2nd Monday of each month at Eisenhower with a live band. In Feb Molly B will be the band and they are great. And Yes ... the bands do play a variety of other music. Believe me everyone has a great time at these dances and its a great way to get a little more exercise for the new year. Make it a NY resolution to try something new.
If your into C&W, Polka is also an official dance at the UCWDC competitions.
