Anyone else receive a 2023 Leisure & Tourism Show invitation? Sounds like scam to me

I received a letter inviting myself and "spouse or partner" to the 2023 Leisure and Tourism Show to be held at the Marriott Townplace Suites in The Villages. I assume it's some kind of timeshare presentation or other such thing that I'd have zero interest in purchasing, but the interesting thing is that the invitation states that "all attendees will receive 2 complimentary roundtrip airline vouchers, plus two nights at one of over 1,000 Marriott hotel locations." And the first 50 callers to reserve their reservation will also receive "$100 in local dining savings at Too Jays, Metro Diner, Dickey's BBQ Pit and more".

Gotta be a scam or major catch, just wondering who else received these in the mail and if anyone is actually planning on attending? Would love to know what they are selling and what people who attend actually receive. Buyer beware!

Friend in Illinois followed up on that, also was at the local Marriott, though the presentation has nothing to do with Marriott's time share division. Sure enough, it was an UNSOLICITED "invitation", the "airline" tickets and the "free stay" were, as you guessed, contingent on BUYING additional time, and impossible to coordinate the dates and the schedule. The entire "production" was to sell a much larger, longer, resort vacation package that our friends found could be done through their own travel agent for LESS.... they also said the coffee was COLD, the cookies were store brands, and the sandwiches were "stale"....LOL ! Go to a movie instead :D:D

Here’s what the show is…..
It’s a show with a lot of travel companies there, probably mostly travel agents, travel companies and resorts. You will need to provide name/phone/email to get anyone to talk with you. Then you will get inundated with calls/emails for months.
The free plane ticket is what you thought, a free flight and hotel for a time share pitch.
If you use travel agents or do package deals, might be worth your time - if you book your own travel, dont waste your time.

Got my 2 complimentary round trip airline vouchers, plus two nights at one of over 1,000 Marriott hotel locations Yesterday. Its for a vacation club. I'm a professional seminar taker.
Never been scan YET. Got so many free trips you wouldn't believe. Going on one in June to Calvary B.C. through Wyndham. Week free Hotel. Saved at least $1500. Had all different location I could had picked. Sorry not free cost me $150 dollars when I booked it. :a040:
