According to the papers, Georgia’s 65-7 victory over TCU was the largest margin of victory in any bowl game ever.
They should definitely revise the selection process.

Wow. I am stunned.
Does anyone really think that TCU, which lost by 58 points, is the second best team in the country? They didn’t even win their conference.
Georgia beat OSU by one point. Michigan finished the season with one loss. Alabama lost two games - by three points and one point in overtime.
Sportswriters vote in the AP poll but the voters are not given guidelines on how to rank teams. Perhaps they should be given some guidelines.

That’s bogus. I don’t know what their SOS was but they did not play like a #2 team last night. Not even a top ten team.

TCU beat Michigan so if TCU shouldn't be number 2 I guess Michigan shouldn't be number 3. We've just been spoiled in recent years with very competitive championship games. I wasn't surprised by the blow out but TCU earned the right to be there. The process is being revised to expand the playoffs. If the past repeats itself, Georgia may soon be under investigation as seems to have happened when teams build dynasties. IMHO

Only 4 of TCUs players have ever been in a bowl previously. You can’t overestimate the impact of the events of championship week. No matter what level of athlete you are, the national championship is intimidating - probably up there with super bowl. These are 20 year old kids, who never experienced anything like that.

They wouldn’t be in the top 5 SEC teams.

TCU earned the #2 spot by the teams they beat to get to the championship.

What does TCU stand for? Is it a football team? Not a football fan.

Alabama lost two games by a total of four points. against Tennesse, they committed 17 penalties, turnovers and on two occasions, the refs missed roughing the passer penalties and it came down to a failed field goal attempt by an otherwise reliable kicker. In Tennessee. LSU beat them by a point at LSU. A game they should have won. No use anymore. Look forward to next year.
