View Full Version : Tee time booking system - Why can we only choose south or north of 466?

When trying to look for 1-3 day out open slots it just doesn't seem to make sense for everything South of 466 to be lumped into the same category.

Some of these courses can be well over 30 mins by golf cart each way to get to if you're south of 466 and south of the turnpike or vice versa if the course is in the south end, or southeast (Sawgrass area). What's worse, when I do choose the south of 466 option, it seems to offer the northernmost courses first which is very inconvenient if you're at the southern end of TV.

Adding south of 466a and south of 44 as options would make a lot more sense.

Sounds like you should make a suggestion to the tee time system. I don't know the complexity of the software system, but I suspect they accumulate approved improvements for periodic updates.

You can look at open tee times by course on the on line version of the tee time system. Every course is listed.

You can also put in only the courses you want, listed by your priority criteria. Put in as many as you want.
I learned this on Thursday at the Good Golf School. Have you taken that class?

Can’t you make templates for different sets of courses? I have 2 templates for executives that my wife likes.

Just put in for courses you are interested in. This can be done as a string on your phone to speed up process using commas and semicolons

I've never had an issue being told what courses north or south I can put in for. A lot of people that live in the southern end don't want to play the northern courses and a lot of the north 40 folks don't want to travel south. With the villages at high season you can only increase how many courses and extend the time you want to play to better your chances.

This is what I do now. I enter in the same 9 courses that are closest to me.

Interesting. Can you elaborate on how you do this? Do you select option 4 and then just send 091,092,086 for example?

There are no "North-South" options on the online system, just every course with open spots the day you are wanting to play. It took me less than 15 seconds to scroll from top to bottom to see, for instance, who had openings for Monday. Try online.

As you can see, most of the comments to you are for the 4-7 day requests. They don't know that 3 days and under are not a request but are under the reservation part. All courses are arranged from newest to oldest. You don't have to look at all of them, scroll down to where the courses you want start. :)

Use the on line system. You will then be able to pick the courses individually.

You can on the online system but the OP is using the telephone system….no templates there ….

There is a reason the telephone system is free: It is much more cumbersome, and has fewer options. If you golf more than a couple times each week, the $8.00 monthly fee for the computer based system is well worth it, at least to me. Plus, the fee is per household, so if your spouse also uses it, so much the better. I manage a couple of golf groups, and my wife does the same for ladies groups. Wouldn't even think of trying to do this on the phone system.

I started using it when I wanted to play individually on Mondays at all the southern most courses no one else wanted to play or ride a cart to. I've met many nice people that way plus being able to play all the exe courses.

After using the phone system for a few months, the $8 a month for the online system was well worth my time. Plus my wife likes to play with other couples, 1M,1F, makes her more comfortable. Plus templates are very helpful too as you can just put in say all the #4 rated courses or the closest courses to home or just the ones you like or if you are like me trying to play all the courses in the villages like I once did, you can easily put your latest exec course on the bottom thus getting to all 44+ courses sooner when making a reservation request. I also get emails when someone else includes me into one of my golfing buddy groups
