I think there are many people, like me, who can't watch all the games we want in real time. We record them to watch later. When you post game results in the title of your TOTV post we may see that just by scanning the list of new posts. Please don't do that. It's OK to post the name of your team in the title of the post, but please don't disclose the recent game results. You can do that it the body of the message.
thanks

Reminds me of many years ago my brother and I locking ourselves away from all news of Muhammad Ali's fight with Joe Frazier, only to have the BBC TV. announcer say "we will now show Muhammad Ali's exciting victory over Joe Frazier!" :ohdear:

Darn, I've been waiting for that fight to come out on Betamax.

Easy solution - don't look here until you've watched the game :)

When I was stationed in Germany back when Monday night football games were a big deal, we would get the Monday night games broadcast on AFN on Tuesday nights. They would start at 8:00 PM and run straight through without commercials.

If your team was playing it was typical to let everyone know on Tuesday not to mention the game so you could watch it without knowing the score. There was one guy who was an obnoxious Cleveland Browns fan who would invite people over to his place to watch anytime the Browns were on AFN. We'd get weekend games on live. The only time I took him up on it was a Tuesday night game when I knew Cleveland had lost.

Oops, my bad, I congratulated the Jags. I won't do it again.

That said, when I'm interested in watching taped games, I don't get online anywhere because the results are everywhere.

Right? Why would you ask everyone else to NOT do something when all you have to do is one thing by yourself? If I were a Jags fan, I would want to talk about the exciting win as soon after the game as I can.

I think a courteous, friendly and another easy solution would be to respect the OP's request. This is after all, "Florida's Friendliest Hometown".

Can't say that I've seen many results posted here.

Agreed.

However, all too many have the attitude of - "Do the decent thing and think of others, besides just myself? No way!"
