I'm looking for an artisan that makes custom jewelry. I want help with the design, but I intend to make the final piece "whimsical and meaningful", in that the design itself will reflect a symbol of love and remembrance.

I have a few pieces of my mom's jewelry that as individual pieces of 24ct gold rings mean "nothing" as-is. They of course have sentimental value, but I believe to be a family heirloom or something of "spiritual and antiquity" value they must morph into something more inspirational.

Similarly, what are your thoughts about doing something like this? Do I have the rings converted to a necklace with my mom's birthstone embedded, or should the stone be my daughter's favorite "bauble", a ruby, gem, or diamond?

Thanks in advance for your ideas, and any referrals to a custom jeweler.

There over 3000 clubs in TV, here is a link: Clubs Download (https://www.districtgov.org/departments/Recreation/clubsDownload.aspx)
you can do a search (see instructions on first page) and see if one or more clubs might fit what you are trying to do.
NOTE: the list is around 250 pages.

I suggest you visit Gold in Art on 466 in Lady Lake. They do beautiful work. I suggest you select your daughter's birth stone to be in the center. That way she is included in the family jewelry.

I had my grandmother's wedding ring, my mom's wedding ring, and my wedding ring combined into one ring, which I love. The gold was melted to form the new ring, and the diamonds mounted into it. I love it. My daughter, not so much. You need a goldsmith to do this.

If you intend to pass it to your daughter, she should be involved in the design.

First decision is what to make - a necklace, or a ring, or a bracelet. Maybe a hairclip or something unique.

If you want it "whimsical and meaningful," you need to decide what that means. A fancy heart? A unicorn? A symbol from your family's heritage? A symbol from your favorite hobby or vacation destination?

If you have very small stones, (1 or 2 points) they will not be reused. You can reuse any that are about 1/4 carat or larger. You can certainly add stones to the piece. You might use family birthstones.

I doubt the rings are 24k gold. That is too soft. It may be 18k or 14k. The purity will be stamped inside the ring.

I recommend Gold in Art Jewelers on 466. You do not want a hobby jewelry maker for a project this important.
