I am searching for somewhat nearby medical docs (MD, ND, DO, DCs, DDS, DVM), PCPs, PA, Acup, LMT, and/or Homeopaths whom I can see for my own personal medical needs. If you have found any, please send me any info you might want to share. I'm also interested in Regenerative Medical professionals. If you have contact info please include that too. If you don't use these kinds of professionals, please do not send me any of your personal, badgering comments. I, like everyone else, am just wanting sincere info and thanks.

OK, here's some sincere information: That list includes everyone from legitimate medical professionals to outright quacks. Very hard to give specific information unless the list is narrowed down.

Just do a google search for "medical near me" or "medical near [your zip code]". You'll find pretty much as complete a list as is possible, much more than anyone here can provide. There are literally THOUSANDS of medical providers, and alt-med providers, and non-med-fake-med providers, within 20 miles of The Villages.

I wouldn't jump to discount a D.O. as being in some way inferior. Medical and Osteopathic schools are for the most part similar, outside of the obvious differences in the faculty and the somewhat easier admission criteria. But after school, the most important factor is where they did their residency. A D.O. who does a family practice residency at an Osteopathic hospital does 6 months each of medicine, surgery, pediatrics and OB-GYN, all supervised by other D.O.s that did the same thing. For the most part they are to be avoided. On the other hand, a D.O that does an Internal Medicine residency at Johns Hopkins, possibly followed by 3 years of a subspecialty fellowship should be just as qualified as an MD

Sounds like your ophthalmologist was able to secure what is an extremely competitive residency, I would have no reservations about seeing her.

I wasn't discounting her. She did surgery on my eye, and I would recommend her.

Rather than asking complete strangers who are anonymous, may I suggest you turn your insurance card over and call their referral line to find an MD who accepts that insurance. Then, go to a somewhat professional website such as Healthgrades.com for ratings. I am a nurse; just because an MD has a nice personality doesn't mean he/she is a good doctor. At
the last hospital where I worked, the most popular ortho doc also had the most infections and complications on his patients. No nurse would go to him. And no, I do not work at any local hospital so I cannot make recommendations.

Homeopathy is fake. A scam. Should not be legal.

Why would you ask about that?

Healthgrades is a joke.

Their top rated ophthalmologist in my town has been dead for 30 years.
Their top rated primary care doc had his license suspended and was kicked out of Medicare/Medicaid for fraud.

True. Many, if not most, bad reviews (and malpractice claims) stem from billing discrepancies, not medical treatment...

And in second place-----perception of having waited too long
third-----perceived rudeness by staff

I say perceived because sometimes it is true, and sometimes the reviewer just has a chip on their shoulder.

And I can say this without bias having had a consistent 5.0 from healthgrades with no negative reviews

I mostly agree. I don't pay much attention to positive reviews. But, when I read one or more negative reviews that are very detailed, and where the doctor has not properly communicated to the patient and has acted rudely and with disregard to the patient, I will not hire that doctor.

One of the greatest legal con tricks of all time is Homeopathy.
Basically, if you can turn a tap on, you have qualified as a Doctor!

Laugh all you want. I work for one right here in the villages. Dr Alex Frank. He does amazing things for people! I’ve always worked for MDs but after working two years for him, his care is far more superior than any crazy managed med MD office. Yes he doesn’t prescribe meds but we’ve seen kids seizures disappear with CBD tincture (thc free). He treats brain injuries a little different than you are used to but guess what. IT WORKS!! And his caring one on one service is the best. He doesn’t sell you a bunch of products. He’s full of knowledge. He will not hesitate to send you to an MD if he feels it’s necessary. I.e last week a lady came to us with pain but we sent her to the ER because we were fearful it was return of her cancer. And sadly it was.

People who laugh at alternative medicine are sadly uninformed and close-minded.
Glad to hear about Dr. Frank.

Thank you for my morning laugh of the day. Never realized that all my professional colleagues and myself were "uninformed". But hey, we have a great testimonial from his employee, what more do we need to legitimize that particular field of quackery---maybe Donald Duck:1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:

Maybe some people need to have witnessed the death and destruction that these "alternative" practitioners have caused to fully understand. I could relate many horror stories, but it would ruin your breakfast.

Dr john Podlaski is a Chripractor and a natural medicine doctor who gives talks at the Belvedere library every month. He does not take any insurance so he is can give you the proper care.
He is located on 466 near Morse Blvd.

He gives "proper care" because he gives talks, or because no insurance plan will accept him for reimbursement?

I will respond to this very carefully and primarily quote Healthgrades (although as I already posted, it is not the definitive source for rating physicians)as to not commit libel:

"Likelihood to recommend Dr. Weaver Jr
3.1" (overall rating out of 5)
Based on 11 ratings

"age 72"----wonder how long he will stay in practice?

"Dr. William Weaver Jr, DO is a Family Medicine Specialist in Tavares, FL and has over 40 years of experience in the medical field. He graduated from UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCE in 1983. He is affiliated with Adventhealth Waterman."

That was the only bio info---no residency program, specialty board etc. The only exact match to "University of Health Sciences" I found was located in Punjab, Pakistan

Florida disciplinary action:

"Substandard Care, Incompetence or Negligence (11/22/2021)Hide details
Action Taken: Education
Summary: NATURE OF COMPLAINT: The physician engaged in Substandard Care, Incompetence or Negligence. ACTION TAKEN: The State of Florida Board of Osteopathic Medicine issued a REPRIMAND on the physician's license, imposed a $7,000.00 FINE, ordered reimbursement of costs of investigation not to exceed $9,000.00, and complete five hours of Continuing Medical EDUCATION.
State: Florida"

Bottom line---I also am impressed, but probably not in the same way.

It took years to find an outstanding Dr. but we are extremely pleased with Dr. Wai To. Both my husband and I have had extremely good results over the last 6 years with his advice. He is a Stanford engineering graduate, who then got an Osteopathic Medical Degree. He "reverse engineers," the problems with your body, using a global prospective. A native of Hong Kong but raised and educated in the US, he also incorporates Asian medicine. Please Google his practice Osteoholistic.

Both of us use him for Bio-Identical hormones and thyroid issues, energy and proactive practices to stay healthy and strong. Four months ago I started a regenerative procedure that has reset my 75 year old body younger by 20 years!! Hubby, no longer has debilitating neuropathy in legs and feet, treated naturally.
The bad news is he is in Orlando and does not take insurance (the good ones most often don't) However, all lab work and Rx are covered by insurance. We do appt. often by phone and he responds to email. He takes all the time necessary to help us. Feel free to P.M. if you would more info.
