I don't se why not. My laptop works with the wireless you get with the television service. My problem is laptops are always slower and even with a optional mouse hooked to the USB port, using a laptop for everyday use might be a little restricted. Questions are- how long ill you be in TV? For a week or two at a time I am sure the laptop will work okay. It also depends on how much you depend on a computer. Good luck with your computer.

As Tom said, it shouldn't be a problem. As long as your laptop has an 10/100 Ethernet port on it, you should be able to cable it up directly to a Comcast modem. Even if you have a wireless router set up, you should find it to have at least one Ethernet port on it to use for a hard-wired connection.

I brought our wireless router to our rental and we are using 2 laptops and a wireless printer simultaneously. When our friends arrive tomorrow, I expect we could possibly be using up to 4 laptops at the same time. Things might get a little slow then.

Unless you are all streaming video, at the same time, you likely will see no real difference in performance with 4 computers on the same wireless network and a cable connection.

Enjoy your time in TV..... I'm jealous! Stuck in Germany for 2 more weeks and then we'll be in transit to TV....

Thanks Mike, but we're here for the long haul. We're renting until our house is finished in Pennecamp and will move in between Christmas and New Year's.
