Yes you can.
Go to Spanish Springs on Paige PL. make a left at War Memorial, follow cart path over bridge to Hysterical Side of TV.
Make a left on Paradise cart path and join Paradise Drive. Follow for about half a mile, round a bend to right and 75/100 yard is a cut through to gate.
Follow road to Aldi etc.
You need gate card to get back.
Ask on other side , and anyone will put you on right track

The War Memorial is not specific to the Vietnam War, it is for all Veterans.

I stand corrected.
My post is updated.

The cut-through is I believe 5 houses past the Boone Gate, on the left. The last house you pass before turning has a flagpole in front flying the American flag on top and a rainbow flag below it. Excellent landmark as long as they're both flying (since most other flagpoles only have the US flag now, so they're indistinguishable from each other).
You absolutely MUST stop at the gate, even if the gate is pausing after the person immediately ahead of you in line. Sometimes it hesitates and could start closing while you're passing. That white gate card is necessary.

If you take your golf cart to the WalleyWorld on that route, don't leave anything of value in the cart. I stopped there for a couple of things one day, was in there for maybe ten minutes at most, and came out to find a pair of prescription sunglasses had disappeared.

Why is there a gate card to get back to TV from there?

Why is there a gate card to get back to TV from there?
So non-residents of The Villages can’t enter by cart.

You need a gate card to get out through there, also. There is no red button.

Yes, gate card both ways. There is 1 or 2 other golf cart communities over there so you will see other golf carts as well. This is the reason for the gates.

That is an old joke. I believe the first time I heard that designation it came from Nucky.

That is a long, interesting story. At one point in time, TV came along and closed off that exit/entrance with a wall. "Take Down the Wall" became a battle cry from everyone on that side, as they now could not get to all that shopping by cart. There was a near riot. It was one of the few times the developer backed off, coming up with the gate-caard-only solution, which restored access to shopping for those residents while keeping (most) outside residents from accessing TV by golf cart.
You could do a search for it on TOTV and spend an afternoon reading about it.

To add to that - the wall also prevented those Villagers who work at the accessible businesses from commuting by golf cart to their jobs.

Wouldn't the villager who work at accessible businesses already have a pass to get
through with their golf cart?

YES they do - AND ? A pass will get you through a gate not a wall.

You need a" gate guard" to get out through there, also. There is no red button.
That must be an upgrade. Last time I went there it was unattended. But then there were alternative ways to get in or out. People are so helpful!

Yes, I looked at two houses in STONECREST before I bought here! I was there 5 minutes when a guy in a cart stopped me and offered to sell me an access card & ID for 50.00 bucks. I must look shady!

I corrected it. I mistyped guard when I should've typed card.

Wow! (not that you might look shady, but that selling fake cards constitutes a successful business).
