I am receiving numerous calls from someone saying they are wanting to send me free Covid tests. Any idea who this is and if it is a scam. The call is from Elizabethtown Indiana

There have been scams where in order to get the "free" tests you needed to provide your Medicare information. The tests were never sent but the callers then had your Medicare information.
I would not give any information and hang up.

Agreed.
If someone wants COVID test kits, Walgreen's has 'em. Free. Of course they're not free (either Medicare or your insurance pays) but nothing comes out of your pocket. And they won't use your Medicare or insurance info. for any nefarious activities.

This is troubling. Too many of our residents are not able to see a scam. Makes them vulnerable.

I never answer a call fron a number I don’t know. If it is a serios call, they will leave a message. If after a few minutes, I don’t receive a voice mail, I block the number.

Probably the same person who emails me daily offering me free Covid test. Don’t ever give anybody your information you don’t know.

Keith..... NEVER answer a call from a number you do not know. If it is important, they will leave a message. I'll bet these calls don't. AND as an afterthought NEVER pay for services in advance.

And after you get your free test kit, let's talk about your car's warranty. :-)

Never answer a call that is not in your contacts. If it's important they will leave a voice mail.

That’s the way to do it , even if there leave a message DO NOT CALL BACK ON THAT NUMBER OR CLICK ON ANY LINK .
Find out the legit number and you call that and ask if they’re sent you this . I have gotten some from Humana , Post Office , UPS and several others , they are ALL scams . BE VERY AWARE OF THIS KIND OF MAIL OR CALLS .

Never ever answer that kind of call or emails . If you’re not sure call your Medicare or any of your Health Providers you will get an answer from them .
None of them will call you or email you .

Don’t do it. You can get them in TV free and like another poster said, your information won’t be used in scams. Just say no thanks and hang up or don’t answer at all.
