While my pool nears completion I am struggling to find Adirondack type chairs that are acceptable for use on the ledge / lounge pad area of the pool. I see many others in TV have done the same thing. Any suggestions would be appreciated, as well as any products that didn’t work out for some of you. Also what type of umbrella pole material did you settle on
Thanks!

Don’t get anything that will rust, after 5 years our pool side chairs are in need of replacement. We won’t make that mistake again.

We have various chairs, high top table, etc., all from Perfect porch that are approaching 8 years old on the birdcage (no pool) and in excellent condition. We did opt for the thicker material, and other than a once (maybe twice) a year cleaning these are excellent. NO idea if these would be suitable for being actually in the pool water, but these are all aluminum, so no rusting.

How about polywood? I've had that stuff out on the dock for three years and they haven't faded or worn a single bit. Nearly indestructible!

We ended up NOT putting furniture on our ledge. When we considered it, i would have gone with this

I bought pool furniture a 2-3 years ago from Home Depot. I wanted something made of aluminum, something that did not rust. They had some very nice looking stuff so we got it. Roll ahead a year or so it seems the welds are not aluminum and they rust leaving a spot on the deck. Lots of sanding and some Rustolem and I thought my issue was solved. But at any pivot point, like the back of a recliner the water will get inside and then moving the recliner I get all little puddle of rusty black water. If I had it to do over again I would look at something that is not metal.

We had the exact same issue. I will never buy metal patio furniture again. Instead, we ordered a full set of chairs and a table directly from Polywood, and couldn’t be more pleased with it.

We bought white polywood Adirondack chairs at Home Depot. We did have to assemble them but it was very easy. We use them on our pool’s sun shelf and they looked great and are comfortable.

I have plastic Adirondack chairs from Target. They were $22 each, super comfortable with the curved back, and have a pull out piece on the arm that holds your cell phone and a cup/stem glass of wine. My are aqua, also come in gray.

We don't have a pool BUT we've found anything metal or wood will quickly de-grade here. We had adironack chairs that we put on our front patio that after a year fell apart (wood). Metal "will" rust and even the sun-whatever-it's-called fabric will fade and eventually de-grade as well. We have canvas shades over a front window that has mildewed and has holes in it. We've asked our power-washer people to clean it but even with that it's the same. The weather/sun here is harsher than up-north. Hoping you find what you're looking for, for your pool needs.

Ledge Lounger is the best option but expensive. Or just leave the chairs beside the pool and bring them in when you want to sit on the ledge. Most choices don’t weigh enough to stay put.

You can order them from Outdoor Patio Furniture - Made in The USA - POLYWOOD(R) (http://www.polywood.com) or go to Palm Casual and order them there. Palm Casual has a lifetime guarantee on their furniture frames. Just make sure whenever you buy, it’s 100% polywood (a heavy plastic) and if it is, it will be very heavy so it won’t float in the water and it has 100% stainless screws so they don’t rust in the pool saltwater.

Not sure about this area but that type of furniture made from repurposed plastic in all colors was readily available from multiple outlets in the Clearwater area. We had orange and our friends had teal blue. ( A tip the orange and yellow fade badly) That furniture is impervious to submersion in the pool, all screws are stainless. Another tip do not get the cheap thin products like most things you get what you pay for. It's not cheap.

When we moved in in 2010 we were on our way to the airport and saw Palm Casual.
We went in to look and ended up buying their plastic pipe pool furniture.
Eight years later we wanted more chairs so we ordered 4 more. When the new chairs arrived I had a hard time telling the new chairs from the old chairs. Thirteen years in the Florida sun next to a pool and they still look new after we have the whole patio pressure washed.
I know that you wanted a certain chair style but visit Palm Casual their stuff lasts.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to respond, it is very appreciated. Strongly considering the poly wood type furniture with stainless steel hardware. Pricey, but I feel confident it will stand up to the sun and weather here.

Do you have documentation about a lifetime guarantee from Palm Casual. All I can find is this “ What is the Duration of the Warranty Coverage?

At Palm Casual, we offer comprehensive warranty coverage that can last anywhere from 5-to-15 years depending on the product. It’s important for buyers to note the length of their warranty protection when buying products because they might have a particular timeframe in mind. For example, buyers might prefer to purchase piece with a 15-year warranty when they’ve just moved to a new home and want to make the space their own for the long-term. The length of the warranty can help determine the level of value achieved in the purchase.”
