At the detour of 470 near Intersection with Marshbend trail.

Near the SE corner of the prison.

470 is being replaced with a traffic calming 4 lane winding road renamed to Central Parkway.

If you zoom in on that area in Google maps, you can see several sections starting to appear.

This does nothing to help with the intersection from 501 onto 470. This circle is further down going towards the Turnpike. We still have to wait till they either put a light up or a death at the intersection for them to help with the actual problem we all have trying to turn onto 470.

Looks like 470 will have a stop sign where it will dead end into MB Trail. When complete, Central Parkway will be the main 4 lane route through the area.

They appear to be diverting most construction traffic to unopened roads down here.

I have the same problem up north, but enjoy the trips to the legacy areas also.

It's worth a drive down MB Trail to 470 and the turnpike, mindboggling to see how much work is in progress.

Better station a couple cops and an ambulance or two for the first week. IMHO

The real nasty intersection is the on-ramps to the FL Turnpike from 470. Very tricky, especially at night, with little to prevent someone from entering the exit.

Maybe you didn't notice Central Pkwy (C 470) West on the drawing...

I was down there yesterday. Unless I missed something, it didn’t look like the circle was at the intersection of 470 and Marsh Bend Trail.

On second look, I think you may be correct, very poor communication from Sumter County...

The drawing looks like the one South of the prison, which makes no sense? They may have posted the wrong drawing.
