This may be off base but wonder if people can post their good recommendations on Agents who they got during lifestyle visits.

We didn't care much for our lifestyle assigned agent. Luckily it's easy to get another. We met our agent, Kim Porter at an open house, and after talking with her for over an hour we told her that we wanted her to be our sales rep. She made it happen.

We just rented for a month as we thought and heard a week is not nearly enough time to decide if this place is for you and where you wanted to live.

We called to get an agent and got Jared Crenshaw and was very happy with the service he provided.

Having said this if you want a resale would also look for an MLS agent as the two groups do not play nicely with each other.

A good VLS agent will understand that you need an MLS agent to show you houses that the VLS agent cannot. So, when you find a good VLS agent, I would ask them to refer you to an MLS agent to work with. If they refuse, then I would find another VLS agent.

Our agent Priscilla Prozek(?) was excellent (2013), she is still working, we get cards each year. She easily went the extra mile to get us a really nice house which we still live in.

Our first VLS was promoted, we were assigned a second agent. Not a fan. We stopped at a open house, met Mark Kennedy, great first impression. Stand up guy who takes care of his clients.

Every person we have recommended to contact Mark, have bought and sold homes with him. Each person has thanked us for recommending Mark, and what a great agent he is

If you have a lifestyle visit scheduled, can you request an agent by name?

Barbara & Steve Lightbody 352 392 8197
They will show you the new and pre-owned homes with no pressure at all.
Lifestyle visit Steve took us all around on the second day of our seven day visit.
He spent almost the entire day with us, we never felt pushed at all. When Steve dropped us off he says "If you need anything or have any questions just call us." We never heard from him or Barbara the rest of our visit. That totally impressed the both of us. We have dealt with a lot of realtors over the years of buying many properties. Steve & Barbara Lightbody are the best. We bought our house with their help in 2021.

Travis Robinson and his wife Carla - you won’t be disappointed. 352-425-3994

We met him at an open house in May 2021 before we even decided to move here just happened to be in the area so we visited The Villages for a few hours. We stayed in touch and during our next visit about 9 months later we bought a new home and the rest is history- zero regrets and he’s stayed in touch since we closed in March 2022. We never did a lifestyle visit.

Christie Painter-Smith is absolutely fantastic. She spent a bunch of time showing us around for our LSV and we used her as our agent when we bought. She pointed out many minor repairs that needed to be done before our closing that we would have missed. She gave us a nice gift basket at closing. She still stays in touch.

Darlene D’Andrea is excellent! She’s helped us twice and we’ve recommended her to friends and family who were very happy with her also. She’ll show you new and preowned houses all day with no pressure at all. 352-446-0955; Darlene.d’andrea@thevillages.com.

June Brine 352-551-6296. My wife and I walked into the sales office in Spanish Springs with no appointment. We were very lucky to meet June a few minutes later. Despite no appointment, June found us a Villa to stay in for our visit and spent the next three days showing us all areas of the Villages. We ended up buying a home that was listed by a MLS agent but to this day, June still stays in touch with us. Highly recommend her.

I'm not sure how many of the really successful VLS "salespeople" are assigned to a lifestyle visit. They are real busy and many times the lifestyle visits are a mini vacation for the people involved. With that said I would try to find out from the villages admin if you can request a salesperson recommended by residents. Secondly, in my opinion there is no reason a VLS salesperson should be concerned with recommending a MLS "realtor". I would not judge a salesperson by that fact. I would find my own MLS realtor and proceed. This may have changed however but VLS sales people were paid 1.5% on new homes and 1% on resales. One of the reasons they push new. Again, this may not be exact today. Good luck!

We were so fortunate to get Cheryl McDaniel when we came for ours in 2017. We eventually bought a house with her.
She continues to stay in touch with us..and just this year brought us a lovely gift for our 5th year house purchase anniversary.
She lives in Villages and has been a sales agent for years. You will not be disappointed.

Nanette Tolleson was awesome! We still hear from her 7 years later. She showed us 4 homes. Taking what we liked and didn't like about the Floorplan or materials. She did not waste our time showing us homes which had features we did not like.
She was truly great!

Our VLS agent, Christian Gabriel, was great and I would highly recommend him. We felt like he showed us what we wanted to see and honestly answered all our questions. Of course, no pressure or silly sales games.

Rob Goldberger is our agent. Here in May, looked for our choice in home, one showed up, he asked our interest, we agreed, he ended up first on list to claim house, our closing was July 1. Glad we chose our new friend, Rob. Now he is working with our son to find a new house for him. GREAT agent!!

We used Selena Yagley who we met while visiting a house we saw in the paper. We didn’t know anything about the lifestyle visits and she explained the advantages of a visit. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer person to help us find our home in The Villages.
You can reach her at 352-446-9089.

Ok Thanks everyone.

Seems like majority here are happy with the person they got.

I have a visit scheduled and a Agent assigned, but did not see his name.

He comes recommended by a MLS agent so hopefully it works out as good as yours all did.

I was wondering how many agents the VLS Has

According to The Villages website, they have "over 350" licensed real estate agents.

Carmen Becker laughed to herself when I told her we were looking for a deal like the one already gotten through a non VLS agent. BUT, in the middle of the night she looked into it anyway and much to her chagrin, a similar (better) deal popped up…in the middle of the night. Carmen got us right on it first thing in the morning and by late afternoon we had our BEAUTIFUL Turnkey home in the area we sought, and not the “cookie cutter” we believed we would have to start with. We were probably the easiest, fastest sale of her whole career. But boy, did she deserve it. She listened to me. And rather than just laugh us off, she took the time to investigate. LOOOOOOVE Carmen Becker

We LOVED our agent, Becky Duffy. She went above and beyond not just helping us find the perfect house but also in post-sale support (we were moving in during the height of COVID and since we couldn't remember a lot of details from when we bought the previous year, she went over and did a virtual walkthrough with us; I moved in with basically nothing a week before the POD arrived, and she set up an air mattress with bedding; here we are three years after purchase and we still get annual congrats, etc...)

I used Jill Kimball +1 (352) 350-4545
She was very professional and patient as I did not buy on my first trip.
She kept me informed with news about the villages and now she is helping my friends find their new home.
I owned a real estate company for more years that I care to mention and I would have hired a hundred of her if I could have.👍

Matt Mayce, he is extremely laid back, no pressure, but will find you the perfect home when you are ready. We have been visiting The Villages since 2020 and are just now buying. He has kept in touch with us during this timeframe. Very nice Christmas cards and monthly recipes😁

Bought 3 houses with Gail Evans. She is terrific. She goes above and beyond to help with. Plus she always has contests and parties! We became close. She once went to look at a piece of furniture someone was selling for me and paid for it on the spot because I was in NY. I heard she once drove one of her customers to the airport! Like I said, above and beyond!!

Before you buy anything at all in Florida you have to make sure that this is the place you want to be retired and the villages is the place you want to retire too. Go and look at the treads that are negative and positive about Florida and the villages if you can put up with what residence say by all means buy There. Broker makes a living buy selling property and only tell you the good. Things not the negative things For Transparency Talk of the villiages website is a good start.

I used VLS agent for my first 2 purchases here. Then I went with MLS for last home. VLS will only show you homes listed with villages AND then try to pressure you into buying south of 44. THEY WORK FOR THE DEVELOPER NOT YOU. MLS will show you all available that meet the requirements you have asked for.

Wow do people really get pressured ( bullied) into only buying south? Next will water boarding…:D rumors:22yikes:
Would have thought most who buy here are intelligent enough to know where they want to live, and how to spend their money.

And a MLS agent works for the seller, not the buyer. Same thing.

As far as "try to pressure you into buying south of 44", all you have to do is tell any salesman what you do not want. They are not stupid and don't want to waste their time trying to sell something that you will never buy.

MLS agents cannot show you homes listed with the VLS. Hence, there is no way they can possibly show you ALL AVAILABLE HOMES that meet the requirements you have asked for...

We never did a lifetime visit but visited friends instead and went to hundreds of open houses while here. We used the agent that our friends had used, he was great. Wesley Holley was his name and his wife Daisy is an agent as well. When our cousins were doing a lifestyle visit we had Wesley request to be their agent. They bought a house through him during their lifestyle visit.
