Has anyone gone to Dentist German Gaiten on Mulbery La on 42.
Any kind of feed back would be helphful. Are there any good dentists in or around the Villages that don't need to take your bank book with you.

Dr. Kathleen Williams, Palm Ridge Dental. She's really good and her prices are comparable to what I paid up north.

We saw Dr. Lesch At Southern Trace Dental by Southern Trace Publix. He was one of the dentist participating with our insurance. Office was clean, friendly staff, and the hygienist was good. They did take their own x-rays but I did expect that. Dentist didn't discover any major problems and no big treatment plans. Set us up for our next dental cleaning after our last visit. I have a dental background so I am pretty fussy about any office I will visit.

Hi Mikitv, I also have a dental back ground. Did they have digitial x-rays ? If so I can e-mail my x-rays to them. I am from Michigan... Alpena

Ihave found that most dentists here are comparable relative to price. My husband just went to Heritage Dental in Lady Lake and had an exceptional experience. State of the art technology. Comparable pricing. Really gave a great explanation of all recommended work. More than I saw with Magnolia Dental where I went. They were a tad cheaper but Heritage was at least a step above despite price difference.

One of the dental groups covered by our insurance here is Serenity Dental. They used most all xrays from what I had sent from Denver, updated what I felt was appropiate, came up with a plan that was similar to the plan outlined by the dentisrt in Denver and price is comparable. It's a brand new, state of the art office, staff is excellent. I have a dental phobia and they are a very supportive practice. I'm glad I chose them at this point.

I've been going to Dr. Hazen for a few years now. She just opened her new office a few months back. Smile Expressions Family Dentistry - state of the art everything and she is by far the best dentist in the area.

Just found Dr. Brecher in Laural Manor Dentistry and found him to be very thorough and so far I was impressed. The office was neat and clean and office persons very professional. His partner is Dr.Still.

My husband and I go to him and like him. Although I think all the dentists around here require your bank book. I really think the prices are much higher here than up north. Just my opinion.

If you ever need dental surgery, a root canal...I really think Dr. Alex Ghazal is excellent.

Marion Dental on 441 was excellent, too. We have found the dentists here much cheaper than Maine - at least by half.

I also was very satisfied with Dr. Gaitan. As posted by others, his services did not come cheap--$1800 for replacing a crown as well as a root canal and a buildup of the small remaining original tooth.
When I returned with a slight problem with the height of the new crown, he took the time to make the necessary repair and there were no further problems with the work.

My husband and I went to Royal Dental recently and left very unsatisfied. We chose this office due to it being on the list of providers on our new insurance. Dr. Gaitan was out of the office so we saw his associate, Dr. Fisher (Fischer??). He was very nice and he did a quick exam. The hygienist was another story. I can't recall her name but she is an older woman, rough around the edges, and very rough in our mouths. My gums were extremely sore for a week following the cleaning. This is the first time in my life where a cleaning did not include some scaling. I am not sure if our insurance only pays for an "economy" cleaning or if she just didn't want to bother to do it. Most of the pain we experienced came from her brutal use of the saliva "vacuum" (I don't know the proper word for this tool). It was a large, plastic tube that she kept pressed tightly against our gums....OUCH! We both spoke to her several times about the fact that she was hurting us but she didn't seem to care and justified all of our complaints with defensive remarks. We will be looking for another dentist and an office where compassion and gentleness is practiced.
