I've read through the threads on how to remove spark arrestors on the Yamaha carts but that's not something that I would attempt. I'm looking to hire someone to remove mine within the next day or so. Suggestions?

I’d try Willie’s or Todd Casey, but I’m not sure of their backlog

OP, IMHO, you do not need to actually remove the spark arrestor, you can simply drill out the center, or drive a screwdriver through the center. I am assuming that you are having a pressure buildup problem, and either of these 'solutions' will remove the pressure build up. I did this on our cart when I was doing an oil change. Simple to do once the bottom pan is removed.

did it make your cart any noisier?

I did the same thing as Villagetinker except I removed the entire spark arrestor from the exhaust. I decided to remove the spark arrestor in case I need some warranty work in the future. If so, I will simply pop it back in. It makes a verrrrrry little bit more noise, but after a day or so you won’t notice the difference.
