Billy G -
Our very kind and thorough TOTVer, zcaveman, made a list (3 pages below), Things To Think About When Moving To The Villages.
It is located in The Villages, FL General Discussion Forum.

We bought a designer home in Creekside, all turnkey. We came here with all of our furniture with the idea of building, saw the house and decided this was the place. It comes with pots, pans, flatware, dinnerware, etc., but depending on whether you will be here FT or part of the year and plan to do any cooking you will probably want to add to what they have or at least upgrade.
We are now selling some of the furniture from the designer home plus some of what we bought. But were surprised how good the quality of furniture that did come with the house.

:welcome:You need to know the most important thing. You left ALL those large Long Island bills behind The Long Island Expy and,oh yea and that white stuff that falls from the sky. As others have said, you need to get ready for the best part of your life. TV is great. I haven't met a grump or rude person yet. When you go for a ride in the golf cart you get a wave or a smile. There's no rush or pressure. And there is always tomorrow. Really seems like everyday is the weekend except once you get settled in the Honey Do list is very short. Usualy it's the what should we do today.:beer3:

I wasn't aware TV sold some designers in Creekside, thought they just sold a street of Cabana (courtyard) villas. Are these (the designers) the ones you see facing the Buena Vista multi-modal path?

YES. AND one of those couples who bought a Lantana there came to one of our casual TOTV get togethers and sit on our porch swing and told us about it. Isn't that the nicest view you could imagine?:)
We are so happy for them!!
That was such a fun gathering. :a040:
Hugs to all of you.

Welcome fellow Long Islander ( or should I say former Long Islander) we love it in TV --it's as big or as small as you want it to be. The people are friendly, beautiful villages, great weather, amenities-- we have it all. Are you a snowbird, snowflake or frog? It's great with any lifestyle you choose.

Skip hasn't met me yet, so he might change his quote after he does. Only kidding. Even the less personable people in TV change their attitite once they become a Village People. It is about as close to heaven you can get without dying. As this post will tell you, there are plenty of Long Islanders in TV. I am another. Wecome aboard.
