First, I’m not a golfer, but I came across this a few days ago. Is it allowed on TV courses and has anyone tried it? I’m guessing that there are some that may be put off by it, but I’d appreciate any info or opinions you may have. Thanks.

I’m guessing you can’t play Frisbee on the golf courses either..

Looks like serious back problems to me!
I stick to throwing the odd errant club!

Good luck with that. Some people can’t even accept people golfing wearing approved attire such as a shirt with a blade collar. At least that would solve the problem of hitting off super tight lies?

From what I understand, FlingGolf is not Disc Golf. You don't throw a flying disc (what most of us call a Frisbee). Instead, you use something that looks a little like a driver but to "fling" a golf ball with soft of a lacrosse club swing. The wife told me about it after seeing on that "Sharks" investors series. Allegedly, it's legal at nearly all golf courses as it does no more damage than regular golf and plays about as fast. I'd like to try it but the "clubs" are a hundred bucks and up (you can play with just a single "club") and it'd be a waste if I tried it and found it wanting as a replacement for "real" golf.

Looks like fun. The idea of carrying only one club brings a smile.

If you can turn a tennis court into a pickleball court, then you can adopt a golf course (at specific dates/times) into "flying" golf, which is NOT disk golf.

I used to be an avid snow skier and snubbed my nose at snow boarding when it started getting popular. Years later I regretted that decision, as I think I might really would have like snow boarding. Really sorry I never tried it. Fling golf?, if I get the chance I’d like to try it, and then decide if I like it or not.

Thanks for all the replies Has anyone seen fling golf played before, either here or somewhere else? It may actually get me out on a course.

They had a Fling Golf tournament that was broadcast on an ESPN channel some time ago. Watched it on YouTube TV. You might even find some video on regular YouTube. The founder of Fling Golf will be on an upcoming Shark Tank soon, begging for a deal.
