Someone mentioned in another post that they had trouble seeing at night with their tinted windshield. We have a cart on order and I have time to change to a non-tinted windshield if the consensus in that the tinting does indeed hinder night vision. I wear sunglasses everywhere I drive- will this eliminate the need for tinting on the windshield during the day?
Thanks!

We have a clear windshield and have put a tinted strip along the top.

Go clear and wear sunglasses during the day. Driving at night with a clear windshield is way better.

We have a tinted on but 95% of the time it is down so it is a non issue. I will say at night when it is raining it is harder to see.

many start to get cataracts as they age, and tinted just adds to the issue, wear sun glasses and buy clear. . but wear a hat with a visor and clear glasses when significantly less than 100% blue sky. . . your eyes were built to work in full sun. . just not direct sun or having direct sun reflected into your eyes.

I have a clear windshield, but have tinted flip down sun visors. (Purchased at the square on Market Night).

Even with the tinting, you'll need sun glasses with this Florida sun. The tint is so light that it "should" not affect your vision. And how often do you drive during hours of darkness?

I have one cart with a tinted windshield and the other with a clear. I can barely tell the difference as another person said the tint is very light.

When we replace ours, it will be clear, with a tinted area added to the top 6 inches.

Yes, I do too. And you can decide how dark you want the sun visor to be tinted. (The Villages Golf Carts.) Just flip it up like in the car when you don’t need it.

I assume it's dark by the 9 pm end to the music in the town squares

My friend rented a car with tinted windows in Jan 2023 and she definitely had a harder time seeing at night. I would not put tinted windows in a golf cart as visibility is extremely important day and night.

Get a clear windshield if you drive a lot at night. Much better.

The Pre-Collision Braking features and variable speed cruise control devices will need recalibrate if you go with the Tint Band…
and driving at night around here makes you a hot commodity
