Yesterday (Wednesday) around noon time there was a VERY loud jet over TV. Did anyone happen to see what kind of jet it was? We were unable to see it anywhere. In the past I've seen Warthogs flying around.

We heard it, but didn't see it. Flight Radar 24 showed it in a brief circling pattern, then flew northeast. With no call letters on radar, I assumed it was military.

Has anyone notice there are a lot more of loud cargo type and regular helicopters flying overhead the last couple months??
Sometimes two to three times a day.

We were at Spanish Springs also, and heard it but did not see it. IMHO, this did not sound like the A10 Warthog, but I agree it was loud and definitely not a helicopter.

I heard it also, I was in traffic on Rolling Acres road, it scared the crap out of me... It was very loud, but I was unable to see what it was.

YES, like most on here, heard it for sure, LOUD is an understatement, but saw nothing (was outside planting flowers at the time)

Last time I heard a jet that loud I was on an aircraft carrier and a F4 Phantom flew by an kicked in his after burners (like Maverick would do).

We live not far from RAF Fairford in UK.
We sometimes get B52 bombers fly over our house after taking off.
That is loud!

Maybe it was on a car or boat? Some new toy for the developer? They have houses near there.

Loud and very brief. Way too brief in my location for me to get outside. As a veteran of the Air Force, I have never heard any type of aircraft, no matter how fast its speed, that resulted in such a brief sound.
PS: perhaps one of those never seen chemtrail aircraft flying at low altitude so as not to produce a visible chemtrail? Who knows? Or it was experimenting with a newer cloaking device. We will never know.

We were getting ready to go into Mission BBQ - scary loud sound - we looked and looked - some more -the sounds increased in volume twice - we never saw a thing and we looked everywhere - it wasn’t very cloudy - the only time we heard this sound was when we went to an aircraft show and the stealth bomber sneaked up on the crowd & then it revealed itself.

Yeah, definitely heard and saw nothing at all. Happened so fast and right over TV. Ha ha funny thing a plane being able to be heard and not seen at all.

I lived at the end of the run way at Clark Air Base, PI and NEVER heard any jet sound like that either - 85 to 87 in case haters want to make a rude comment about age.
Thought of those threads. Yeah, creative out of the box thinkers that wear tin foil hats in TV wonder these things. I wonder how many Villagers stepped in dog poop while lol looking up!? That's what it takes, a loud, unexplained noise in the sky. Lol boy based on that event it wouldn't take much for all of us to experience a surprise from the sky. Lol.

I saw a couple of F-18 Hornets flying overhead last fall so they do fly this way. ALSO, there is an airshow with military aircraft coming up on the 25th in Gainesville.

Come on folks, you all know it was the Chinese. While we are all chasing Balloons, we let their spy planes fly over. They are looking for a new corp. headquarters in the US for TikTok and The Villages was on their top 10 list.

That happened about the same time that I was practicing hitting softballs yesterday. I did connect particularly HARD on one and I could feel the earth shake.

So after 32 responses, no one saw it. Amazing. After 26 years in the Navy and many tours on carriers, it could have been any number of aircraft. Atmospherics, altitude, speed, aircraft type, etc. can influence the sound you hear.

Sounded like what I heard at Eglin AFB when they were practicing for an upcoming air show. Only they also went boom, when they broke sound barrier!

We were walking into Lowe’s. You didn’t see it? It was plane as day, right there in the open, no clouds, bright blue sky, and It was moving very slow, it was a weird color too. I don’t know how a building could house something that big

Closest fighters that would make that kind of noise are either F-15s out of Jacksonville (ANG) or jets out of Cecil Field or Jax NAS (F-18s?). I flew F-15s in the USAF. Was playing golf at TDS and heard the same. Definitely not A-10 sound nor the various theories being posted.

Boeing C-17 Globemaster, I think.
The C-17's along with C-130's taking off and landing, also pass over our house regularly from RAF. Brize Norton, (12miles away) and have always found the sound quite reasonable.
Never heard one that could be described as loud.
However, very low flying Chinooks playing silly boogers, and creeping up, can scare the living **** out of you!

Ocala Palms is about 3 miles from Ocala International Airport (OCF). The plane that you took a picture of has its landing gear down. Coincidentally, OCF's website appears to have a photo of a Boeing C-17 as one of its banners.
