I’ve heard rumors that Giovanni is returning to his former and original restaurant on Wedgewood Lane. Is anyone able to confirm this rumor?

Yes, according to Geo's Deli, they will be reopening the old restaurant. No time frame given.

Went there last week after being away for a few months and we decided it was going to be our last time. Good to hear things may be going back to 'normal'

Has this been confirmed, or is this a ploy by owners to change perceptions after dept of health inspection?
My wife won’t go back after reading the report.

A friend of mine, who is a frequent customer, said the original owner has taken the business back and is closed for a deep cleaning.

Are we talking about the same Giovanni who owns Gio's Deli on 301? If it is, will Gio be running both restaurants......301 and Wedgewood Lane?

Terrific news indeed. We always loved Giovanni, his family and restaurant. Stopped going after it was sold. Excellent!

I went by Giovanni’s today and the sign is gone from the front of the building and there’s just a hand-written Closed sign on the door. If it’s reopening with the real Giovanni, why would they take down the sign (no small effort to do that)? Any ideas?

I used to love going to Giovanni's when I worked at Publix next door. The last time I was there though, I didn't realize they'd changed ownership. Got my bacon pizza and was underwhelmed. Saddened even. A week later I went to Gio's for the first time, as I was out that way anyway. Saw Giovanni, told him he was missed.
I really hope this rumor is true.
