Nope. Spoiled brats that don’t have to win to get their next meal. Golf is incidental to the other nonsense

The Middle Eastern Golf League? It is a league for those "has been" golfers that can't cut it anymore on the competitive PGA and are not old enough yet for the Seniors Tour.
A bunch of overpaid crybabies.
Have fun!!

I might just go once, since they are practically giving away tickets to show up and make the crowd look big for TV. Short pants, loud music playing and silly team names. At least you won't have to listen to their painfully cheerleading TV announcers trying to convince you that something exciting is taking place.

It will be the most fun you've ever had at a Golf Tournament. They do a spectacular job at producing a great environment. Try it, I bet you'll like it.

Don't go. Don't support the Saudis and the money-hungry players who entertain rather than compete.

If I drink lots of booze I may agree with this . Horrible product and a bunch of washed up golfers.
Would not walk down the street to see Phil and his buddies.

Sounds good! I think I'll go Friday to hopefully be part of smaller crowds. It'll be my first time seeing pro golf. I know this tournament has a bad reputation from some, but I'm not going to judge the players who chose to secure a good living while doing what they love.

does anyone know how long these golfers have to continue to play on this tour? is it a one year, two year contract, or what? forever?

I'm sure part of the reason you're not going, is that you don't want to buy that Saudi gas for your car, either.

I don’t think the PGA will accept them back. PGA MAY accept the first 1 or 2 big names to prove a point, but I doubt it.

This is a laughable response. Cameron Smith is one of the newer LIV golf players and he’s hardly a “has been”. He was #2 in the world golf rankings and had just whipped the biggest crybaby in golf, Rory McIllroy, at The Open when he left the monopolistic PGA TOUR for LIV. There are many other great golfers on the LIV tour that are amongst the top
golfers in the world. They just don’t get points towards the world golf ranking by playing in LIV. This makes the world golf rankings a joke, in my opinion.
I’ll be attending all 3 days of the LIV Orlando tournament and it’ll be a great experience watching these golfers in person.

You watch the PGA Tour, correct? Entire PGA playoffs was sponsored by Saudi Allied Brands ie: Coca-Cola/Fed Ex/BMW. Players Championship sponsors Grant Thornton, Optum, and Morgan Stanley each have big ties with the Saudis. Not that I agree with these relationships but both LIV and the PGA Tour are complicit. If you don’t believe they compete then you missed a great LIV finish last week, ending in a 4 man playoff. It’s the competition of the LIV tour that threatens the PGA Tour not the Saudi affiliation. As far as money hungry, all professional athletes negotiating for these huge multi million dollar contracts can be labeled money-hungry, while seeking financial security for their families. Considering the usual short span of their athletic life span to generate these incomes its a smart financial decision to “show me the money”.

That’s funny watched Bloomberg Business US exports” Sales of U.S. crude to other nations are now a record 3.4 million barrels per day (bpd), with exports of about 3 million bpd of refined products like gasoline and diesel fuel”.

From what I was told, the contracts were different, for different players. Similar to other professional sports, with varying payout schedules and various terms, conditions and length of contract.

I’ve never witnessed any behavior at a LIV tournament that could be labeled silly. On the other hand, if you’ve ever watched the Phoenix Open/Waste Management tournament then you know what silly golf is all about. Throwing beer and other things including partially full and full plastic water bottles at the players and dousing the fans on the par 3 16th hole, continuous hollering while the players are hitting their tee shot. Players removing their shirts after a good shot.
That’s what I’d call silly golf.
