Lose your iPhone?

I found an iPhone yesterday evening about 6:00 pm in a shopping cart at Lowes on 441. It was in the top portion of the cart used for holding a child and the cart was near the entrance to the Garden center outside the store. Because it was password protected I couldn't determine any information about the owner but hopefully the "find my phone" was activated so the owner could find it, but I gave it to the cashier in the Garden Center thinking that's where the owner might return after remembering where the phone was left. I hope you read this if you haven't found it yet.

I thought I posted this last night about 6:30 pm but I don't see it here so I must have done something wrong, unless it was filed under Lost & found.
